One Availability and Alternatives

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Though Fitbit One is a popular product, as we introduce new products, we occasionally make changes to our product line to keep you on track with the most up-to-date health and fitness tracking tools.

As a result, we no longer sell the One. We recommend considering the other discreet options we offer- Fitbit Zip, if you prefer a clip-based tracker or Fitbit Flex 2 if you prefer a slim, wrist-based tracker. Or, take our quiz on http://www.fitbit.com/compare to see which device meets your needs best.

Please note that we will continue to support the One and, if necessary, provide replacements for devices in warranty.

We do know there are many fans of the One who would like to discuss alternatives and have created this thread for discussion and merged a few posts together. Please keep in mind Community Guidelines when posting.

At this time, feedback has been shared on the One status and there are no plans to bring this particular tracker back at this time, we will not be able to comment further.

We apologize for any inconvenience and hope we can continue to provide you with Fitbit trackers you love and help you reach your goals.

This is the clip i used to test if it would work.

The alta won't work with the original fitbit one clip but it does for in this one. I made sure I didn't pick the magnetic one. I wanted the clip style. I was able to get it in black but currently it looks like purple or red are only available.

I actually have several extra clips for my one. Can I use those for the alta or would I need a differently sized clip?

That clip is not at all secure. It's just a magnetic clip.  I purchased one to try for the flex 2, and it came off twice, so it's a waste of money as far as I am concerned.

It’s totally ridiculous that the One was discontinued! Why expand any further here? It’s obvious you’re not listening to any of the comments since Oct 2017!

Decided to give the charge a try. I've been wearing a 10$ copper fit wrist tracker for a few weeks and it's not to bad. Just wondering how much I'll miss if I 'dress up" and decide not to wear it. I'd love to get a zip for those occasions but two trackers is ridiculous.

I can not tell you how much I loved the Fitbit one.  My only concern was moisture.  I tried my best but i think too much humidity after a few years at pools out outside, got the best of it.  When the fitness craze started with these units and not using a pedometer, I wanted one but can not wear anything plastic  or metal on my wrist.  The Fitbit one was perfect.  I loved it. At my age I was glad nobody was in my business about how I was doing because they could not see it and I only shared with those I wanted.  So here I am, no fitbit to help me with my 2 challenges I started at the beginning of the year.  Why? The Zip and Flex 2 would work but it does not measure stairs.  Every challenge I have done has a count for stairs. Please consider putting this on a non-wrist product.  For over $100 I would rather have a device to give me the fitness I need to watch instead of knowing my phone is ringing.  I know this is great for some but realistically if I ( and a lot of working adults) am working out I don't answer my phone and if I am not working out, my phone is usually close by.  When I asked around what others use they tell me they gave up on the devices.  Cost does not compare what they need and have gone back to cheap devices.  If you have to track what you need yourself, a lot of us don't need heart rate, sleep or those upgrades, why spend the extra money. If we have health issues we would spend the money on the upper valued items.  Steps, stairs, miles, are needed.  Calories and water log are great extras.  There is no wish lists or requests on your website and the polls you take may not be covering those of us who don't tweet or join fitness clubs. So just suggesting from what I wish and have asked others about, please think about adding stairs back into the units that do not have wrist bands! Somewhat waterproof like the cheaper ones you have now are also a bonus as I have sadly had to admit. Thanks for your time!

If you find a wrist that offers stairs please let us know.  Love fitbit but I need what I need and it's not a multi gadget.  Just something to watch my steps, stairs, water, miles and the basics.  Miss the one already.

Fail, no stairs on that or the Flex 2.  I can measure basic steps on any phone or step devise.  Needed is a non-wrist with what you need to track on normal challenges.  I'm sure I'm not the only person who checked and saw I made the steps but was 1 or 2 off of getting that green on the stairs so got in that extra item to make it look better and felt better about myself.

Exactly my feelings.  Where are those stairs?  Not on any devices I see.

Treasure your one!  I have had a few clips and two Fitbit ones but when they freeze up and stopped counting (mine shows battery half way through day) and this means it stopped tracking.  My battery is still in great condition when it works.  I miss it and can'f find anything that compares.

I want to give in to the flex 2. I can handle looking on my phone for where I am at but without the stairs, I don't feel it is worth it.

I was doing some research with that in mind, found the Garmin Vivosport. It does (I believe) everything our One does and then some. Unfortunately, it is wrist only; Garmin makes a clip for their lower end wrist device only, so no steps, etc..  What is with these companies??? Just when I thought I'd found the perfect replacement...

Sadly, these companies want you to be a walking advertisement after spending $100+ on a tracker. The stupid part is, if I find a product I love, I recommend it to everyone I know. I don't need (nor do i want) to have the product on display to recommend it if I love it enough. And I recommended the One to everyone I could!

It's pretty clear Fitbit isn't listening to us hardcore One users. It's too bad they think everyone wants to wear something on their wrist. I honestly can't believe the one wasn't profitable.

I did see a clip for the Garmin Vivofit 3 on Amazon and almost bought it but the ratings weren't very good.  The price is comparable to the Fitbit Flex 2.  Better ratings but no screen or stair and hearing it doesn't have a great battery life for the little bit it does.  So not sure where to go.  The Vivosport is to much I think for just a step and stair counter.  I don't need all the frills for tracking. If you do go to Garmin let me know what you think.

I agree on the profitable.  Make it waterproof and it would be a top seller.  I worked at a big chain store and they were usually out or low in stock,  Never on sale.  I can't see why the one could be wore and measure stairs and steps yet the alta and zip say the clip wont measure correctly unless you attach to shoe.  Who keeps their shoes on all day to measure steps and stairs.  I work and a mom and sorry I would only remember to switch it up 25% of the day.

The Zip... so why do they keep pushing this inferior crap on to us?

Just make more Fitbit One's or a new better model

Well, it happened much sooner than I expected.  My latest One is only some months old, but it has stopped working properly.  From the way it acts I suspect it is a faulty or failing battery.  Moot point. It is as dead to me as the company.

Plus, I just changed my WiFi network and my Aria can no longer connect (802.wrong kind).  So, now I have an expensive electronic bathroom scale.

I would like to commend fitbit on how thoroughly you have trashed your products, your business, and your customers all in a few easy steps. With the skills you have developed at destroying a business and disregarding customers, you should go for a position in the Trump administration to destroy a government office and ignore the working class.  You are surely a shoe in.

P.S. On your products menu you caption "Fitness Wristbands and Clips".  You only have one clip device, so that's false advertising.
