Though Fitbit One is a popular product, as we introduce new products, we occasionally make changes to our product line to keep you on track with the most up-to-date health and fitness tracking tools.
As a result, we no longer sell the One. We recommend considering the other discreet options we offer- Fitbit Zip, if you prefer a clip-based tracker or Fitbit Flex 2 if you prefer a slim, wrist-based tracker. Or, take our quiz on http://www.fitbit.com/compare to see which device meets your needs best.
We apologize for any inconvenience and hope we can continue to provide you with Fitbit trackers you love and help you reach your goals.

Diane, I don't need them to develop a new tracker. The ONE is perfectly fine, but they decided to keep the useless Zip, instead of keeping the One which is terrific. They didn't care about the legions of people who use the One.
I still have a One in hiding, but if they don't clean up their act by then . . .

Prefer the One over the Zip.

I had trouble clicking on the thumbs up icon. May be the same for others.

Alternatives? Do you make a product the size of my little finger that will do steps and stairs? I certainly don't see anything like it in the product list. I will not wear a device on my wrist during the day. (It's bad enough during the night.) I've been a FitBit user (and proselytiser) since very early on. The One was an improvement over the original (no flex-hinge to break), but all the wrist versions are useless to me. Maybe it's time to look for a different company if FitBit won't listen to its (formerly) faithful customers.

Hello everyone! Thanks for your continuous participation on this thread regarding the alternatives and solutions for the Fitbit One.
I see that some of you are experiencing trouble to vote for the ideas for future Fitbit products. Please click on the following links:
You will see the following:
Like Button
Click/tap the thumbs up to add your vote to the idea. You will also find a comment section below in which you can leave a comment supporting the idea.
Also, if non of those ideas really ask for what you need, you can always create a new suggestion for a future Fitbit product.
Doing this has worked in the past. I'd recommend checking this infographic showing the feature suggestions that have been implemented in the last years.
You can also check the 11 pages with suggestions that have been implemented over the years.
The best new features came out from customers ideas on that board.
See you around!

Everyone who votes, note that:
If you click to vote you should see the total go up by one. If you click again it will remove your vote. So to ensure you voted for a suggestion, be sure you leave it at the higher number.
Likewise, if you go back to a suggestion you already looked and re-vote it will remove your first vote. So double-check that it actually has your vote anytime you go to vote.

The Zip doesn't count stairs or time activity. If you read your own post, you would read that the wrist units are not accurate: One counted a seated musician's arm movements as steps; my own arm movement when I brushed my dog. But didn't count one step on my friend's travel though a large, busy airport because she was dragging her bags. Please bring back a clip-on model that does everything the One did.

Point taken for the forums. Thanks to highlight this as I had accidentally unvoted.
Please don't implement a similar feature for the podometers: if I do a step forward, then a step backward - which I often do when dancing salsa - , you can just count two steps 🙂

Yes! When I wore a wrist device, I made goal standing still chopping vegetables. My son gets points when he is drumming, and our friend who needs to hold onto the rails when using a treadmill gains no steps! No device is perfect, but my eliminating the One, or offering a newer/better clip model, you are not meeting the needs of many of your customers. The Zip is inferior. I'd love to se a clip model that has all the features of the One and reminders you to get up and move every hour, like the Charge 2.

Can you tell us how the Alta clip worked? It seemed Fitbit could at least offer a similar clip option for the Alta if they are available elsewhere. Fitbit, how about it? It seems like a small gesture on your part to offer this option for customers who want to clip their trackers

The Alta, with a third-party clip (since Fitbit doesn't support the Alta being worn anywhere except the wrist, and thus doesn't offer a clip), is working well for me, with the exception of not counting stairs.
That said, I would *still* prefer The One be brought back, or a new-and improved version be made available.

@RobinPoohG I "borrowed" my son's Alta and bought the third party clip and tried wearing it for a few days. Comparing steps for individual workouts as well as the entire day and sleep and such. I did a blog post to show the results (http://jenbsjourney.blogspot.com/2017/12/fitbit-one-done-alta-alternative.html). I do still prefer the One, not only for the stairs, but for the button (for the Alta, you have to "tap" to scroll through the options, and the tapping just doesn't always work well) ... although the Alta's autotracking (for sleep and exercise) IS a step up.
My One is still working for now, but I'll switch to the Alta in the clip when it gives out.

If they added the stairs to the Alta and offered it with the belt clip instead of the wrist band. It may be an alternative to the One. Or add the stairs to the Alta and sell it with both the belt clip and wrist band.

I have never, ever commented in web forum - just not my thing. But I am so disappointed about the discontinuation of the One that I wanted to make sure Fitbit heard my voice among the other discouraged One fans.
I am a die-hard fan of the One for two key reasons:
It is unbelievably disappointing to realize that while the One has been discontinued, there is no equivalent alternative to provide the same functionality. Please, Fitbit, bring back or provide an alternative product that can meet the above two features! (The Zip is not an alternative. That is a very simple pedometer with a humongous pricetag. A quick internet search can find dozens of products with similar functionality for 10% of the price of a Zip.)
To the broader community - is there any non-Fitbit product out there that offers these two features in one product? I have been a huge Fitbit supporter from the very beginning. I would hate to leave it.... But if I can't find the above two things from Fitbit, I am totally willing to go elsewhere.
Appreciate the ideas!
