Bad data and sync issue

My Charge 2 is 2 1/2 years old and interested to know if its wearing out or a fixable issue.  It will not sync to one of my cellphones as it used to but will another cell but the sync is slower. The resting  heart rate is now higher and does not vary as much. The steps count is sometimes off after the sync.  I have deleted and reloaded the apps, reset the unit several times.  Time to give this unit up?  Thanks for any help.

I don't really see the problem to give up the unit:

1.  It doesn't sync with one phone but does sync with another.  It sounds to me like that points to the phone rather than the Fitbit.  If you want to keep trying the old phone, make sure the newer phone is not close nearby.

2.  Your resting heart rate is higher and shows less variance.  RHR can rise; that doesn't mean the Fitbit is bad.

3.  Step count is sometimes off after sync.  You would have to explain that further.  Where is it off - on unit or on phone, higher or lower?

You have deleted and reloaded the apps - Does that mean still trying both phones?  Why not just stick with the newer one that works?

It's up to you;  feel free to upgrade it or just trash it, but I don't really the need for that form what you have said.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

My resting  heart rate usually varies between 47 and 50 but lately it went several days at 52 straight then a couple days up to 56.  The steps show one thing on the tracker but when synced this morning it showed 4 steps.  I thought it may be just about to wear out but the battery charges and stays charged.  Thanks for your input.
