Ok Fitbit, clearly there is a hardware//battery problem. You need to fix this problem. My Fitbit charge 4 has no battery problems Except when I sit outside in the sun. My watch gives a message “battery not charging”. I’m Not charging my Fitbit. Matter-of-fact, my battery is perfectly charged. When I leave the sun and it cools off,,the watch works again. This is problematic when I wear it outside on a hot sunny day. I love my Fitbit but can’t use it on a hot sunny day. I’m going to Disney world soon and am afraid it will crap out on me while Im in the park. I really want to know how many steps I take while there. What can be done about this. I know you are aware of this because so many people have complained of the same problem. This had been going on for years. What gives??

@Dee5977 Welcome to the forums. Thanks for your post about the message you receive on your Charge 4.
I appreciate your explanation. In this case I recommend you restart (click here) your Charge 4 and check the its behaviour in the next days. I have seen this being reported before. Hopfeully the restart makes a difference.
