Black Screen and When push the side Button low light

Hi, I just reported that I got my Charge 3 a month ago, and yesterday it just turned black, the screen doesn't work when you move the wrist or you touch it. It only lits up when you press the side button for seeing the hour. And the worst thing is that now the light of the letters and numbers is so low I can barely read anything!

I contacted the chat service and after restart it with no luck, they said they are going to send me replacement.

After reading all the community problems I see that apparently the Charge 3 is not the best Fitbit option right now... I would happily turn back to my old alta if it was available for sale, I had years with my Alta being happy!!! I give it away to my mon after buying the charge 3, now she is happy with my old Fitbit and I'm not with this new device. 😞 oh well...

Mine’s doing the same thing, very frustrating. It seemed to quit vibrating notifications as well after the last update.

Hi, welcome to the Fitbit Community forums @Snunez @Nikki39

Thank you for sharing that you've been having trouble with the screen of your Charge 3 that is not responding or it's too dim.

@Snunez, thank you for taking the time to share your experience and feedback about the device. It's good to know that you'll be receiving a replacement soon.

@Nikki39, before considering other options, please make sure that you've followed the steps listed here below to complete the long restart procedure:

  1. Connect the device to the charging cable.
  2. While the device is plugged into the charging cable, press and hold the button down for 15 seconds.
  3. The device turns on and shows a battery icon. Two vibrations occur: first a short vibration, then a medium vibration.
  4. The device turns off.
  5. The device turns on and shows a progress bar and short vibrations occur. The progress bar completes. Note: A total of 7 short vibrations occur.
  6. Remove the device from the charging cable. The device shuts down.
  7. Important: Plug the device into the charging cable again.

In addition, please try changing the clock face option on your Charge 3, this has been useful for some users as well. Regarding to the brightness, make sure to check if the Sleep Mode and Do not disturb mode are disabled on the device settings.

Keep me posted on the outcome.

My Charge 3 just started doing the same exact things (no alert, low light, black screen unless button is pressed) today. Im going to follow the steps indicated above but if they dont work, who do I contact for a replacement? I love my fitbit. Wear it religiously. Thx
