Same issue. Tried Fitbit chat. Useless. They suggested I buy a new one. (now why would I do that based on their Customer Service non-support?)

All of the moderator posts on the two threads that mentioned this apparent design flaw either told the customer to call Customer Service or promoted some other Fitbit community feature. Not one offering a solution. I kind of thought a moderator would at least try to provide some answers.

They have no options besides buy a new fitbit. Would be nice if they took some ownership of the problem instead of the easy way out

Waste of time. They don't try to find a solution, just ask you to buy another one.

Nice that they took ownership of the problem and didn't just take the "how do I get this guy off the phone and pretend it's not a design flaw" approach.
