I'm surprised that an app that has so many great features is missing one critical component of fitness. A blood pressure log. It couldn't be that difficult to add a space to manually log that information. Is fitbit only supposed to be for the young who don't have to worry about those things or is a device for everyone? Baby boomers want to stay healthy too and healthy blood pressure is critical.
I may have to look at other fitness trackers if they have that feature.

I like the idea. I record my BP in Excel, but everything else through the FitBit dashboard. I didn't know the feature of manually recording BP ever existed. Maybe that is why it didn't get much use. It does sound useful. Especially if Fitbit is trying to move in the direction of supplying gear to corporate wellness programs.

The ability to track BP and Glucose with the other data in the FitBit account would be of great value to me.
I think FitBit's target is the young, but us baby boomers represent a mighty big market in addition to younger folks with health issues.

Hello all I found this existing suggestion over on the Feature Suggestions Board and it would certainly be worth adding your support by voting for it.

I use the Google Fit app to store my blood pressure. It's free and can be downloaded at the Playstore. I'm hoping sometime day soon it won't be necessary to take this extraneous step.
I wasn’t surprised to find this thread, but disappointed that no further progress has been made with the good suggestions. I like an all-in-one solution to tracking fitness data and - to reiterate others - adding a simple, manual log to the app, which users can choose to take or leave - seems like a no-brainer. Sleep, activity and HR impacts BP and insights could be more easily and efficiently gleaned by having the data in one place. Might look at the google app that somebody suggested.
Just on top of all said, let us bear in mind that Fitbit is not only for super healthy people, there are also people with the desire of getting in shape, and among those, it is possible to find people with hypertension and with sugar problems. I am sure getting all your health information in a single place is a great idea. The hypertensive people would like to follow the trend to observe what is the improvement, the same from the sugar level. It does not have to be in the device, but definitively in the dashboard. It could a disclaimer anywhere expressing that the information on this area is added manually without any relation with any of the devices or any other tracking information.
The big question is the Fitbit team disposed to do so?
Of course the dreaded Apple Watch has this and many more features. I have deliberately gone away from the Apple platform with a Fitbit. The other day my doctor told me to get a basic Omron and start to log my blood pressure. Fitbit is certainly lacking in this respect. Health monitoring is a bit basic really. Disappointing.
I think even younger users of Fitbit could benefit from a blood pressure log. I've had issues with low blood pressure since my early 20s, it would be nice to have a place to log it and since they don't have a device that monitors blood pressure an ability to sync to popular blood pressure devices like Withings and others.
