Blood Pressure Log

I'm surprised that an app that has so many great features is missing one critical component of fitness.  A blood pressure log.  It couldn't be that difficult to add a space to manually log that information.  Is fitbit only supposed to be for the young who don't have to worry about those things or is a device for everyone?  Baby boomers want to stay healthy too and healthy blood pressure is critical.

I may have to look at other fitness trackers if they have that feature.

They do listen.  Another user requested Sp O2 data on Charge 4 and it has been added to the device.  You just need votes.

I have requested reporting and instant SP O2 data here:

https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Feature-Suggestions/Report-SpO2-oxygen-percentage-chart-for-Charge-4...

Please vote for that too.

Thanks P

I am on my second Samsung Gear "family" watch. I switched sometime after I posted on this thread years ago. They record BP in their app.

Re the Samsung, can you migrate Fitbit data?

You can track blood glucose but not blood pressure?

Best Answer

... no - no bp tracking option on my Fitbit app so far. I’ve been using a free-but-with-ads, no-frills Apple AppStore app for about two years now that, if Fitbit pulled their digital finger out and added bp tracking, I’d hope I could import the data from. Hope springs ...

... not sure how this functionality is relevant to this thread

I check my blood pressure three times a day, and really wish to have a place where I can log the readings over time. I'm fairly new to fitbit (a year old). Fitbit really should add this feature back to the app. As fitbit is getting popular, I'm sure it'll be used more often by more users these days. (Just in my extended families, more than 12 of us have all bought fitbit in the past year, and we're all looking to log BP too.).

If you want accurate BP readings, you would need to wear the fitbit very snugly and be ready to get squeezed while it takes the reading. Not everyone likes that kind of discomfort in frequent intervals. Most fitbit and smart watch users want comfort too (which runs counter to BP meter).

I’d be happy just having a place to log the information.

Honestly, I never said I wanted Fitbit to measure BP, but I would like to record my BP in the Fitbit app - like you can with water intake etc.

Absolutely- my point exactly. I only measure my bp a couple of times a week, but I’ve got two years of data now and it would be great to consolidate that data with the other metrics in the Fitbit app

I totally hear ya. I was notified on my fitbit app couple of days ago that I can add manual logging of blood glucose data, and we can log water intake and food intake, but still no blood pressure data. What is fitbit smoking?

I just got my first fitbit today and I'm shocked the app doesn't allow manual logging of blood pressure. I think it's going to be a deal-breaker and make me move to another fitness tracking platform.

Absolutely agree!

Same here!
Please add this feature.

I use the KardiaMobile App. I have used a KardiaMobile for about 18 months now.  You can manually log your Blood Pressure or Sync an OMRON BP Device. You can also manually log your weight. Not only does it do an EKG it gives you a report of 4 different things associated with your EKG, it tracks your history and it sends your info to a Cardiologist Certified Board for Review every 90 days. You can also setup Caregivers and add people to your inner circle that you would like to receive reports and the frequency. Also tracks your medications. It has a share feature that is handy if you get a reading that you would like to send to your doctor. I use both the Fitbit and the KardiaMobile to track my Heart Health. They they eliminate the frequency that I have to go in and see my Primary Care Physician and My Cardiologist. Hope this helps.

Odd that you can enter blood glucose but not blood pressure.  I would love to have space to manually enter BP.  Then, later, they could sell a BP cuff that would send the data similar to the scale...  just a thought.
