Love my Fitbit but hate that my screen has cracked down the middle. I have not dropped it or done anything weird just put it in charge and woke up to a cracked screen. It seems to have warped and now I cannot read the time etc. still works and syncs to phone but cannot use it as a watch 😢 Seems to be a common occurrence with these watches. Can you get the screen replaced?

It doesn’t seem that Fitbit is going to recall these defective products.

Best Answer

You chose the replacement?   Was yours still under warranty?    The complaint is that the cracked screen and broken band problem has not been corrected and Fitbit knows by the number of complaints that these are manufacturing defects.  Therefore when they replace the product during the 1 yr warranty, these defects only return on the replacement item. When it breaks again they only offer a discount on the same defective product  They only offered me 25% another Charge 2. After 2 defective ones I WILL NOT pay  for another defective product.  They need to recall these.

Has anyone here had the same problem 3 times?

No, but I did have a problem with my first fit bit. The vattery died right at 1 year. Luckily Costco took it back & refunded me the $.

Fitbit, when an what are you going to do about your defective products????  Your service used to be excellent. Not so much now!

I see a lot of blah blah blah from fitbit but no recall.  They aren't going to do anything except talk and take your money.  Obviously it's a known defect

Best Answer

I agree.  They are not going to do anything for us.  They are just posting stock replies, which don't mean anything.  If they really wanted to help us, they would do a recall.  They realize though that there are so many defective ones out there, they don't want to bear that expense.  Such a shame for a large company like Fitbit.  Customer service is not what it used to be!!

Oh and mine was still under warranty when my screen cracked.  I just thought maybe I had done something to cause that and didn't realize it.  So I didn't contact them.  Now that it has come to light that it is definitely a defect, my warranty is over.  Go figure!!

I have had my Fitbit Charge 2 for 2 years now and the same thing just happened to mine. My daughter and granddaughter both have one also and the same thing happened to theirs  What is going on with them.  I actually bought my daughter hers. It will be 2 years ago in January.

I was told to bad. My wife and I both had charges and mine fell apart. We
both bought the charge 2 mine got the random screen crack that seems to be
an issue that is known by Fitbit. I also have the scale which constantly
loses connectivity. Basically being told because my Fitbit is out of
warranty I'm screwed is enough to push me to another product.

Thank you for the non-response, and for helping only two of the many that complained about your defective screen.

And, when I tell my friends and co-workers NOT to buy your product I will be sure to include this response as reason #7.

Obviously a major problem, bought my wife the premium rose gold charge 2 and the exact same crack has appeared across the screen top to bottom. Took it out of the charger and the crack had appeared just like magic! Please Fitbit show us real customer service and restore our faith?

My Fitbit Charge 2 also has a crack down the face. I have 1 year left on my warranty. What can I do to resolve?

Best Answer

Get in touch with Fitbit Support, they will ask you for a photo of the cracked screen and also a photo of the fitbit logo, you should then receive a reply asking if you want a replacement or a discount off a new model.  I chose a replacement and it was delivered to me within a week.

Is it still under warranty, if so, get in touch with Fitbit support.
