Can't Reset Steps

My Fitbit says I did 45,000 steps today. 4,500 is far more likely. I tried the restart tips in this forum and it still reads 45,000. How do I fix it?

@Batch.1  Welcome to the Fitbit Community! I hope you're doing well! Sorry to hear that you can't reset your steps.By any chance did you walk over 40k steps the previous day? Could it be that your tracker didn't reset back to 0 at midnight? Did you log any activity on you account? Please share a screenshot of the activities area if you can.

I look forward to your reply.

Nope. My max in one day is 25K. I got a bunch of badges I didn't deserve yesterday. It's back to normal now, but it's gonna screw up my weekly.
Thanks.

@Batch.1  thank you for the update. Was your tracker near any vibrating surface? Or were you inside a moving vehicle (train, car, etc.)? This could have caused steps to be recorded. Also did you check the logged activities? You can try negating steps by logging a driving activity. This won't remove the badges though.

Keep me posted.
