Cannot edit sleep log

Since the most recent update on 6/8 I have been unable to manually edit my sleep time. I can access all the editing pages without a problem and can choose a new/correct time. However, when I click OK and am brought back to the Edit Time page the original time is still showing vs the corrected time I entered.

Edited to clarify: In case it comes up, my problem is in the app only. I know I can successfully edit the log via the website dashboard. But who wants to sign-in to do that? That's why we have the app. 😉

Hey there @suzi_b, it's nice to see you around the forums! Hmmm... weird, I haven't had any issues when trying to edit my sleep data. Note that as you use the Charge 2 to track your sleep, you may notice gaps at the start or end times of your sleep stages if you extend your time asleep. To edit your sleep on the Fitbit App:

  • From the Fitbit App dashboard, tap the sleep tile. This is the tile that says "How did you sleep?" or, if you tracked sleep the night before, shows how many hours and minutes you slept
  • Tap the sleep log that you want to edit
  • Tap the pencil icon in the top right corner
  • Adjust the time you went to sleep or the time you woke up and then tap Save

If you keep having issues editing your data on the app but not on the Website, I'd recommend trying the following:

  • Make sure that your Fitbit App is up-to-date
  • Log out of your Fitbit App
  • Force quit the App
  • Turn off the Bluetooth
  • Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes
  • Turn on the Bluetooth
  • Log back into your Fitbit App
  • Try editing your data

Hope this helps, let me know how it goes!

Hi, @MarreFitbit. I followed the instructions you provided - this was after I'd un- than reinstalled the app - and am still having the same issue. Even though I can adjust the time without a problem, when I click OK and am brought back to Edit Sleep page to save, the original time is still showing vs the newly edited time. Everything else works fine.

This happened to me a couple of times, not sure why. I found it easier to just delete the entry I wanted to edit, and then create the sleep entry manually.

Work out...eat... sleep...repeat!

Sorry for the delayed reply, Dave, I wasn't notified there was a response. This wasn't a couple of times, it was months. Since I like seeing the breakdown I'd sometimes just leave it be, though it would irritate me each time. If the gap was significant enough - which was frequent - I'd edit via the website. Good news? Last update fixed it!

@MarreFitbit - Thought I'd let you know that the last update finally fixed the problem. Better late than never.

I could not edit my wake up time on my fitbit charge 2. I can edit it on my phone but not on the watch.

It's a pain isn't it. Have you tried what MarreFitbit posted above? It may not help - it took an update to fix my issue - but it can't hurt.

Any luck? Haven’t been able to edit for months. When I wake up I sometimes get distracted and forget to click “I’m awake”. I have a FitBit One. (Why do they only have FitBits now that you wear on your wrist?)

Sorry to hear that. It's such a pain! Luckily, my issue was finally fixed by an update. Did you try the suggestions that @MarreFitbit posted at the beginning of the thread? If you did and it's still not working I'd make a brand new post and maybe call customer service.

A resurgence as of this morning: the three dots don’t appear for today’s log.  They appear for all others prior to today.  So back to unsolved.
