Charge 2 Black Screen

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

My fitbit is fully charged and has the most up to date software but the screen has gone completely black and I can't use it. The green lights are on at the back and it vibrates when I charge it or start the stopwatch but it won't light up on the screen.  I've read other people saying to change the clock view in your settings as that brings it back on and also to hold the button down for 10 seconds to reset it. I've tried both of these things and it hasn't worked. My charge 2 is dead for no reason.  Seems fitbits have a life expiry which they don't tell you about. Can I get this repaired?

@Bethkg Welcome to the Fitbit Community!

Let me help you with your Charge 2 showing a blank screen and thank you for troubleshooting this issue. I want to confirm that you followed these instructions to restart your tracker.

Let me know how it goes.

Your suggestion did not work. I had previously tried this. I tried again but nothing happened. I still have a black screen. I felt the watch vibrate when I held the button down to reset it but nothing else happened.

Hi

the same has happened to my Fitbit last night. I have just tried your instructions and it hasn’t worked for me either. Is there anything else I can do? It will still sync to my phone etc and vibrates to as if it’s reset but the screen is completely blank and doesn’t light up at all.

Hope all of you are more successful than I was. Surprise surprise they couldn't fix it nor are they willing to repair. Best solution given was a 35% discount for some lower spec fitbits. No chance I want an Inspire or a Versa! They won't let me apply discount to a Charge 4. Think I'll need to get a Garmin or some other non fitbit watch.  All fitbits break eventually but always just after 2 year warranty. I think its a fix and I'm sick of it.

Yes, I was offered the same solution as you. I've emailed to see if I can
upgrade to a charge 4.
Thanks for your response

I was only offered 25% off and like you they said there was nothing else they can do to fix mine. I emailed back when I saw what options as like you I want to have another charge. The response was less than helpful and basically looked like a response that had been copy and pasted. Very disappointed.
