Charge 2 Blank Screen But green lights on

Charge 2 screen went black. The green lights on still. I tried charging, restarting but no luck. It vibrates and shows working on app. Any ideas???

@YMCA2020, if you bought this from a store and have the receipt you may still be in warranty. If so act fast and you might get your money back. If you are in Europe you should have a 2 year warranty.

There is no solution. It is a product defect. They offer a 25% discount on the next purchase. The charge 3 is doing better but I have seen some posts on it as well.

I haven't heard of a recovery from this. Use as is, look for a special
discount or open a chat with customer service on their website to see if
they will give you a discount.

I got a Charge 3 as a gift from my loveley wife, who saw the misery I was going thru. First the screen went black. It still worked in the app though.  Then it would miss exercises, when I was working hard for>20 min., or when I tried exercise while synced to the gps on my phone, I gave up and went back to my Casio watch. I love my Charge 3.  Hope it lasts longer!

I have tried everything you mentioned here and nothing will bring the screen back. 

 

I didn't even have my fitBit for a full nine months when this happened. 

 

It started with the screen glitching big time! It turned all snowy, then it started flipping through all the options by itself and then just died.

The app still worked with it, it still charges and will vibrate indicating it's been hooked up to a charger or been reset, but I'm so sad, the screen just won't  work. Three of the biggest reasons for going with the FitBit Charge2 was for monitoring my heartrate (mine tends to beat fast and it's worse when I stress), for text notifications, and for using it as a watch. Now its useless.

I know how you feel but it has been off the market for some time now. Even
so if you bought it new the warranty would cover it I think. They replaced
an HR I had no problem. The HR 2 I bought did this also but after the
warranty expired. They game me a discount on a new device after I chatted
with them on their website.

Personally I used mine as long as it still fed data to the app but I don’t
have the same concerns you have.

The newer ones are very water resistant so I hope they hold up better.

I hope the best for you, though I am sorry to hear this happened to a
Charge 3. I thought it was a moisture problem with the HR 2 which
shouldn’t happen with that. My wife wears her Charge 3 in the Hot Tub and
it is going strong after a year.

I have the same problem. The screen is black, the green lights turn on and the alarms work. I have already tried to charge it and reset and no luck. The screen remains black. HELP!!!!!! 😞

after two years.

Got no response from fitbit bought a Samsung Smart watch. It works
perfectly.

I haven’t heard of anyone solving this problem. In my case I opened a chat
box on their web site and got a discount on a newer model. My wife
replaced hers when SAM’s club had a sale on the charge 3.

Hi this has recently happened to my charge2 initially the screen froze and then it went blank. I have tried all of the above and it hasn’t worked.Also tried to contact customer support but unable to connect due to an issue. Any advice welcome

If the chat box on their web site doesn’t work I would look for a phone
number or email under support on the web site.
