Charge 2 Blank Screen But green lights on

Charge 2 screen went black. The green lights on still. I tried charging, restarting but no luck. It vibrates and shows working on app. Any ideas???

They were bought by google so have more resources now. Their newer versions
seem to hold up better as they are water resistant.

I have the same problem. It charges, vibrates to turn on, the light is on, but the screen is blank.

Yes if changing the watch face on the app doesn’t fix it you just use it
with the app until you replace it

Thanks. I did get a new watch, but was hoping the charge 2 would start working.

Yes I have my old one in a metal box but will probably never try it again I
like my Ionic too much. My daughter complains because her charge 2 is
still working and she wants a newer version but will only spend the money
if it quits. She gives lots of hints that it would make a great birthday
or Christmas gift. She has considered an Apple Watch but doesn’t want to
have to charge her watch all the time and she wants the sleep stats that
the newer FitBits have.

I have the same issue with mine, which is less than 2 years old (Nov 2018). Screen went black, but registers and logs. I tried all of the standard resets, but nothing. Left it a few days without wearing it, then wore it for a walking tour. Screen came back at the end of the second day, first with a line down one side, then normal screen. But, as soon as I recharged it from 30% it is back to black screen. It's getting kind of silly wearing the tracker, but also having to wear a watch for telling the time.

I'm having the same problem with mine, since July.  I let it run all the way down, then recharged it to see if it helped.  I put it back on this week just to see if it would still track.  Nothing.  Today I cleaned it and reset it and it's tracking and syncing again - but the screen is still black.  The app shows it at at 83 % charge. Did you ever find a resolution for this?

No solution. I bought a charge 3 to replace it. I keep it changed, but that’s about it.

Best thing is to use it with the app as is until you replace it. Some
people said changing clock face on the app fixed theirs but I think it is a
moisture issue.

No, I tried every trick in the thread. I got the screen back once by
chance, but it went black again when I charged it, and since then nothing.
Mine is tracking, but I have to check my phone to see what it reads, which
is a bit silly really. Disappointed that this happened with a Fitbit less
than 2 years old. I am thinking of getting a Charge 3, but this still
tracks.

No. I have had no resolution at all.

I am wearing my old Alta HR. Not many features and as long as I charge it
every other day, it seems to be working.
I guess no one from Fitbit monitors this discussion.
There has been direction or feedback to this issue.

Similar here, but my screen turned off during pairing and the sensor lights blink about 2x/sec. Screen is off, none of the resetting works, no charging indication, nothing except the sensors blinking.

That is how I used mine until I got an Ionic. My wife has had good luck
with her Charge 3. She even wore it in the hot tub for weeks but then quit
it when she thought it might be bad for it. It still works fine for her.

Hi There

 

I have tried all these to no avail. What can I do. I haven't even had my Charge 2 a year and all of a sudden the screen has gone and thats that. Tried charging, resetting, holding button for 4, 12 and 30 secs, looking for updates... everything. Please help 🙏

Charge 2 hasn’t been sold here for years. If you didn’t buy it second hand
it should be under warranty.

If you can return on warranty do it. If not you are out of luck. It is a defect and the company does nothing. If you complain then maybe a discount on your next. Charge 3 is better.

Mine is a Charge 3. The screen did this when I’d had it only a few months (it was a gift for my birthday in March this year). It’s working again now after changing the clock face, but I think it’s really poor quality for the price.

My wife has been using a Versa with no problems. I replaced my charge 2 with a charge 3. And it’s been working well. I wore the charge 2 for at least three years, every day. The problem may be that I began cleaning it every day with a spray cleaner, and the mist could have damaged the screen.
