Charge 2 Blank Screen But green lights on

Charge 2 screen went black. The green lights on still. I tried charging, restarting but no luck. It vibrates and shows working on app. Any ideas???

How did you manage to do a factory reset with a blank screen? I've tried it
but no success so far.

You can’t that is why I recommend using it with the app as it is but some
people claim it fixed their screen problems.

Thanks @FishnDan. I was responding to @pottyremlap who claimed he'd managed to make the screen work again with a factory reset. I have tried to do a blind factory reset but did not work for me. Which method did you use @pottyremlap? Thanks. I just hate to throw away devices. The blank screen looks like a planned obsolescence from Fitbit and this is not right.

I think it is a moisture accumulation problem. Look closely at the screen.
I could see what looked like a fine mist on the inside of mine.

I have The same thing, I’ve tried as you suggested and with no luck. Blacks screen so green lights are flashing.

So annoying but I am still wearing it as it is still working as far as counting steps etc.

Shortly after I contacted Fitbit, mine stopped working. Seems to have
been software related. Hopefully this does not mean that an update was
performed on my device which made it unusable. Prior to me call Fitbit, the
Green lights were flashing and my activities were tracked and I was able to
update my Dashboard ande review my activities. All of a sudden, as noted
above, the device became unresponsive almost like it began cycling and I
could not reset the device.

No success here either. I bought a newer version. If it’s still under warranty they should replace it. Mine was not. It’s still active but the screen is blank.

I am having the same issue. I have tried your steps above, and still my screen is black. I am an avid user of my fitbit (like so many), so obviously this is a huge inconvenience. Can yo please start a case for me from to get support for this issue? Thanks so much.

Mine is still black, too. Yet the Fitbit still records steps etc. Annoying. I wear mine every day but now am wearing a cheap watch so I know the time. I am trying to decide if I will buy another Fitbit. I love it but this is the second one that has broken.

Okay so I have no idea how or why, but my Fitbit is now working, watch face correct, notifications, charging - the lot!  I have continued to wear it despite black screen as using it for step / calorie count.  Happy though wish I could advice how I achieved it!!!

I have the same situation.   I followed all the charging and reset steps but after charging and resetting I have a blank screen and green lights that continue to flash.

What can be done.

Mine has totally given up now. Such a shame. Must say not happy as not a good design given there seem to be a lot this is happening to

If you were able to use a charge 2 this long I congratulate you on being
able to keep it running this long. I haven’t heard of a way to recover
from this. I used mine with my phone since it still uploaded the
information until I bought an ionic. The ionic had works well but the
center peg for charging is corroded and a little tricky to charge. Charge
2 is now on version 5. Has great new features but has dropped ability to
count the stairs you do, which didn’t work well for me anyway.

If you should decide to try a different company, check their comment
section first. Many have similar complaints that you see here. I think
problems like yours have been greatly reduced since they became waterproof.

Mine is a charge 3 and waterproof, plus I never wear it in water. It lasted 10 months before completely failing and had to be replaced under warranty. The replacement new one has already lost the ability to notify me when I get a call (an important feature for me because my phone is locked away at work). The new one is only 7 months old. I would never buy another from this company.

On occasion my Ionic loses connection with my phone. I go into my phone’s
Bluetooth connections and see that it says it is not connected. I tap it
and it reconnects or turn Bluetooth on and off will fix it also but the
Ionic doesn’t tell me when it loses its connection. That would be a nice
feature.

Bluetooth connectivity is very different from a blank display.  The problem isthe fitbit device charges, the green lights on the bottom are flashing, but thereis not display.  Waiting on a response from Fitbit.

They gave me a discount toward a new device. It couldn’t be fixed.
