Charge 2 screen went black. The green lights on still. I tried charging, restarting but no luck. It vibrates and shows working on app. Any ideas???

This happened to me a while back. I ended up buying a newer version and haven’t had any problems with it yet.

I've done everything you have suggested and more and still have this problem. Fitbit programmed to android phone and it still records everything. Showing fully charged.

That appears to be one way they wear out. Don’t know of any coming back
from this. Only option is to use it with your app as is and wait for a
sale on a newer version.

My Charge 2 never came back, but is the same as yours. I ended up getting a charge 3. It has done well so far.

Mine was a Charge 3 but it still did the same. They replaced it because it was only 10 months old. Seems like a manufacturing fault to me.

I am having the exact same issue. I have not used my Fitbit in a little while, but it’s been in a safe place. I recently got motivated and charged it, but the screen is not working now. The green lights show and it registers on the app, but nothing shows on the Fitbit screen. I have tried all of the suggestions above. Please help!

I think it's a lost cause. Give up and get a new one. But, check to see if
it's under warranty first.

Mine was a Charge 3 and only 10 months old, so they replaced it under warranty. I’m not impressed at the quality.

Support for this issue with a Charge 2 is non existent now. If it is still under warranty you can get it replaced or refunded. I replaced mine with a 3 as it was around the same price at the time. The only hints are hard reset, but the black screen seems to be a standard failure, with no coming back. I have had a post removed for criticizing Fitbit for their lack of support or input on the Charge 2 issue.

Since you cannot see the screen do not do a hard reset because you won’t be
able to see the code to add it to your app.

Only option it seems is to use it as is with the app until you find an
upgrade on sale or get a used one. I know some are still working but
people have upgraded and should sell them very cheap.

If you don’t want to use it the way it is you could try a hard reset to see
if it works in your case and toss it if it doesn’t.

That seems to be how they die. It may work with your app for awhile longer
just no visual on the watch.

I don’t know of a solution to fix this. Only option is to monitor your
vitals through the app. I have noticed the charge 4 is on sale for $99 for
Father’s Day which is a much improved device and cheaper than when I first
bought my Charge 2.

I just got this same problem. Two days ago, the screen suddenty went "mirrored" (left-to-right). After a few hours, it went black. It never turned on again.

The charge 2 works, it detect pulse, it vibrates, alarm works. Display don't. I already reset. I already waited for battery to go 0%. I reset. I reset. I reset.

I removed the charge2 from the app, and now I cannot add it again because I cannot see the 4 digit code to do the matching.

What should I do? It's the second fitbit that "just stop working"...

Hi! I am having the same problem and have tried all the troubleshooting steps. It vibrates after holding down for about 7 seconds, but nothing appears on screen. I have tried this several times.

contact fitbit support on twitter. they will reply quickly. if you are out of warranty... you will have to buy a new one, but they usually offer you a discount. I just got a brand new Charge 4, it's nice!

Exactly what they did. Out of warranty but offered a discount that could not be combined with another discount (I.e. has to be applied to the MRSP) thus advertised Fathers Day price is not applicable. Express delivery not what was promised when item is in stock. Confirmed in stock but express delivery is now the 3rd day.

Please excuse typos. Message is being sent from my mobile device.
