I have a Fitbit One that I take with me on all my hikes. I find it pretty accurate in terms of flights and miles. I recently bought a Charge 2 because it had the same functionality plus the connected GPS. I took it with me this weekend and am not impressed:
1. The GPS isn't even close. I waited until it had a good signal and was talking to my phone. I checked several times on the hike and it was always connected. It must've guessed at the trailhead down the road because it had me starting there.
2. I can only guess my trekking poles screwed up the distance readings because they were off by a good amount. For an 8 mile hike, it said I had done 2.
So, I figure I'll just log the data from the One that I kept in my pocket. It seemed to be pretty accurate. Now it appears that I cannot have more than one device on my account and if I do, Fitbit will somehow combine the data?
Not the greatest impression for the Charge 2. I love it overall, but the hiking inaccuracies and the inability to even extract the One's information are a bummer.

@kfree2 A warm welcome to our Community! Sorry for the delay in my reply.
Let me help you with your GPS data. The Charge 2 doesn't have a GPS chip so it uses your phone's GPS chip for this. You can try refreshing the link between them by doing the following:
Let me know how it goes.
