Hi All,
I've had my Charge 2 for 3.5 years and it's been pretty good during that time, bar sporadic syncing issues that took some time to resolve. I know I'm probably lucky for it to have lasted this long, but it's final downhill turn has happened quite suddenly; for the last three/four days it hasn't managed to hold a full charge for longer than maybe...ten hours max? Often less than that. I've checked my charger and it all appears to be fine.
Is it time to consign the poor old thing to the scrapheap in the sky do you think? And if I were to get a new device, which would you recommend?

Mine is 3.5 years old, too. I had few problems except occasionally the display reversed, but that was fixed easily with a reset. Now, the display is black, though the green lights are on. Is 3.5 years the life? When I retired, my class of fifth graders got it for me, and my heart breaks that it's no longer working.

All mine are going on 4 years.
How are you charging them?
See this thread for charging best practices. If you are not charging it correctly you could be damaging the battery

Yes, I'm charging it as recommended; the battery issue sorted itself out for nearly a week, then went back to a day/two days charge life. But more than that is the issue with syncing; I've taken all troubleshooting steps but now my tracker can't even be found by my phone (same phone, regularly updated etc etc). Every now and then it logs a few steps but not the right amount and nothing for days on end. Really quite confused. Not sure what to try now.
