I’ve just got an Apple Watch so I’m giving my Charge 2 to a friend but I am unable to carry out the factory reset. I have tried countless times and have followed the instructions but it will not go to the Erase Data screen. Can someone please help? All that happens is the display comes on showing notifications switching between off and on

That's correct. They'll see your fitbit the same as it was a new one.

There isn't a factory reset for the Charge 2 (only the Charge and Charge HR have that).
However, it shouldn't be necessary. There's no personal data on the fitbit and when your friend adds it to their fitbit account as a new device it will delete any remaining tracking data and reassign it to their account.

Thanks for that Steve. So just to confirm that it’s not locked to my account or anything. They just need to either add it to their own account or create a new one?

Hello, just trying to pair my device to my son's Charge 2. I've unpaired it from his device and directly from his Fitbit account but my device won't see the Charge 2 - any advice? Thanks

Have you checked that your device is supported by fitbit at www.fitbit.com/devices ?
Can I also just check that you are trying to connect your device via the fitbit app rather than by the bluetooth settings. At what stage during the setup are you having problems?

I checked the device (iPhone 6s) and it is compatible.
The app asks me to turn on Bluetooth to complete setup even though Bluetooth is on / turned off then on again to make sure.
My phone can’t see the Fitbit even though it’s charged / close by / no other devices around...
All suggestions appreciated!
