My Charge 2, which is only about 14 months old, just started zooming across all of the menus on its own, flipping through heart rate (which also hasn't been working lately), Relax, Stopwatch, Notifications, etc at a fairly fast speed, looks like a slot machine.
Also I noticed the green lights on the bottom arent lighting up now, either. The one opposite the terminals for the charger is on, but dimly, and not flickering as they usually do when they're on. They both were earlier today when I put the Fitbit on, so I don't know what's changed since then.

Do a RESTART. Do it several times if necessary. Probably would help if you recharge it to 100% first.

DPP,
were you able to resolve this? My Charge 2 is doing the same thing, and running down the battery in a few hours in the process.

Same thing happened with my charge 2. Suddenly it started browsing with a buzz. Not tracking heart rate conimtinuously. Sleep tracker gone to the older way and suddenly while running it stops tracking.

@lab028 @Nishikant A warm welcome to our Community! Did you try the restart suggested by @SunsetRunner? Start by cleaning the tracker's contacts with a toothpick or toothbrush and them use cotton with rubbing alcohol. After that use compressed air at a distance to remove any debris that could be in the button area. Finally restart the tracker as previously mentioned.
Let me know how it goes!

The restarts did not help. I opened a support chat and after describing what was happening was told there is no solution and was offered 25% off a new device.
I no longer am using a Fitbit fitness tracker.

Same thing has happened to my Charge 2. Looks like it's a common problem that Fitbit can't solve

My Charge 2 started acting up about a week ago. I did some digging and tried the reset route. I also gave it a thorough cleaning. It works fine sometimes, but more often than not, it cycles through the menus like there’s no tomorrow and drains the battery really quickly.
Tech support said “ yup you tried everything, it’s dying. Here’s a 25% off coupon. Have a nice day...”
When it finally dies, I’m going to open it up and do an autopsy.
