Charge 2 doesn't recognize workouts

It seems to me that my charge 2 only recognizes walking as exercise and burning calories. Even when I manually log the workouts, it does not show in the calories I log even after syncing. It also does not register all the days I work out. Is there a model that would actually do the things that I would like it to do? All the charge 2 is good for is, step counting and heart rate. It would be really nice for all my hard work to be counted by it  The information  (other then the heart rate), is way off most of the time.

@renblackcat I hope you're doing well!

Let me help you with your Charge 2 not recognizing your activities. Which activities are you doing and for how long? Are you using the exercise mode on your tracker or just manually logging them? Where are your calories not showing? Could you share a screenshot?

Your device detects activities based on the motion on your arm. The automatic detection is a feature called SmartTrack. For example when using the elliptical machine make sure you have the moving bars so your device detects the motion and records the activity itself, once an Elliptical activity is saved on your account it should show on the Recent Exercise area. If your heart rate is high but there isn't much motion (yoga, weight lifting, etc.) then these activities will be difficult to be detected by your device. Still you can manually log your activity so you have a record on your account or use the activity mode on the device itself.

You can also log out from the app, restart your phone and log back in.

Let me know how it goes.

Thanks for the response. My tracker does not allow me to choose exercise mode of any kind. I have to log it manually otherwise it doesn't count what I am doing which is using the Stair Master for one hour and then lifting weights for 30 min.  It only counts calories if I am walking and even when I log the calories the stair master claims I burned, it does not always count them as well as not counting every day that I workout. The weekly report can be off as much as 2 days worth of exercise.  It simply is not an accurate tracker being most likely 30 to 40% off. It just would be nice if I could get a real or at least more accurate information regarding my progress.  I don't have any screen shots. I think that I am going to have to find other means of tracking my efforts. Again, thank you for responding to my query.
