Charge 2 exercise log is erasing map data

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Prior to the last update, my charge did a great job with tracking exercise within the app using GPS info although my tracker ALWAYS had fewer miles than the GPS.  Since the update, after I track, the GPS info disappears.  If I log info, it throws off my mileage  and steps completely.  I've deleted the app and reinstalled, restarted the app, reinstalled my tracker.  I'm out of options.

@Caroline68 Welcome! It's good that the community is growing!

Let me help you with your missing GPS data and thank you for troubleshooting this issue. Do you see a Not enough information message on your activity? If this is the case then please know that the team is aware of this issue and is currently investigating it. Hopefully they will find a solution soon for all affected users.

If this isn't related then try refreshing the link between your phone and your tracker by doing the following:

  1. Go to your phone's bluetooth settings and remove all devices listed there.
  2. Restart your phone and restart your device
  3. Check that no battery saving app/feature on your phone is affecting your Fitbit app.
  4. Also, if you are using an Android device, check that your app has the necessary permissions (settings > apps > Fitbit > permissions) and make sure bluetooth and location services (GPS) are on.
  5. You can find troubleshooting instructions here.

Let me know how it goes.

Alas, it's the problem you are already trying to fix. Fortunately, the
weather is good because this is the disheartening situation that leads me
away from walking and directly to Fitbit excused ice cream!

I have the same problem - not enough data - it also erased data from previous runs

@DFLBI Welcome! It's good that the community is growing! Sorry for the delay in my reply.

@Caroline68 @DFLBI there is a new Fitbit app update that should address this issue. Please update your app and see how it behaves with new activities logged there.

Keep me posted.

It's only been a problem since the update. Yesterday, it randomly behaved
correctly, I'm not sure why but I'm cautiously optimistic.

the map feature was posted yesterday - i don’t usually track my
exercise by using my watch because it doesn’t give me voice cues. I use the fitbit app. to track my runs. Yesterday it tracked from my watch
but not from my iphone.
