Charge 2 gets getting multiple notifications for texts

Hi, upgraded to a new phone and unfortunately had to upgrade to the latest Fitbit app in the process. I have several complaints about things that used to work perfectly but no longer work on the new one, chief among which is the way text message notifications come across. With the old version of the app I would get one notification on my Charge 2 for each message which came in. Now, each notification gets repeated every time another message comes in. So if there is a group message going on and 6 messages come in, I get 21 notifications instead of 6. It's extremely annoying with my fitbit buzzing away constantly and not helpful at all. Is there a way to fix this?

Let me help you with your Charge 2 getting multiple text notifications. I suggest you try refreshing the link between your phone and your tracker by doing the following:

1. Go to your phone's bluetooth settings and remove all devices listed there.
2. Restart your phone and restart your device. 
3. Check that no battery saving app/feature on your phone is affecting your Fitbit app.
4. Also, on an Android device, check that your app has the necessary permissions (settings > apps > Fitbit > permissions) and make sure bluetooth and location services (GPS) are on.
