Charge 2 having issues syncing

Since the latest update, if I turn location off I have to restart my phone and my fitbit just to get it to sync. If I do not turn my location off, it's fine, but I do not like to keep my location on all the time.  But turning it off causes the app to not be able to find my fitbit. The only way to fix it is to restart my phone and the fitbit, restarting one doesnt fix it.

Any way to solve this without leaving location on? I have had the fitbit for over 2 years and have never had this issue. Could it be I just need a new fitbit?

@Pandora1209 Welcome! Thanks for being part of our Community!

Let me help you with your Charge 2 not syncing when turning off location services. Which phone are you using? Is it compatibleLets try refreshing the link between your phone and your tracker. You can try the following:

  • Go to your phone's bluetooth settings and remove all devices listed there.
  • Restart your phone and restart your device
  • Also, if you are using an Android device, check that your app has the necessary permissions (settings > apps > Fitbit > permissions) and make sure bluetooth and location services (GPS) are on.
  • You can find additional suggestions here.

Let me know how it goes.
