Charge 2 - no exercise showing on app

My app has stopped recognising any activity. Last weekend everything was working fine then 2 days later my tracker is showing calories burnt after a class but on syncing to the app…no exercise registers.  I have done all the recommended stuff…opening/closing/deleting apps and tracker and still nothing.

Does anyone have any suggestions/ideas/advice please?

I've been having the same issue happen as I mentioned on a similar thread in this part of the forums.

I'm having the same issue. It hasn't been recognizing my exercises when I set my FitBit to track them, and today, when I try to manually log my workout, it keeps disappearing, even though it recognized my active minutes.

i am having same issue.  Anyone had any luck getting a solution???

Best Answer

I'm having the same issue. Maybe a difference is that I viewed my Wednesday run information (I like to review my heart rate) and I sort recall checking my thursday data in the morning. But later Thursday all my Sept workouts were no longer visible on the app. Also new workouts are not syncing to the app. A bit frustrating

Someone on the other thread that I started about this said that they spoke to the support team and are told that there is an issue with the app right now. Hopefully, they can work on resolving it.

Thanks. I figured out a way to do a chat with support

Our engineering team are already under investigation and working towards a
resolution on this system issue. We apologize for any inconvenience that
this may have caused you

As of the moment, I don't have a specific time frame for the resolution.
However once our team have fix the issue it should show the changes on your
end.

Also as a reminder please update the Fitbit app on your phone since we
released a new version 4.25.

Although they didn't couldn't tell me how to do a manual upgrade or check
for an upgrade. I did find that my device is on 4.24. To which the comment
was that 4.25 is probably not available in my area yet.?.

I'm glad I found this thread. My workouts haven't been tracking since Thurs 5th Sept. But everything else does like steps and heart rate. I'll contact support so I have it logged with them.

Best Answer

yer its worth others contacting Fitbit and find out a ETA and raise the urgency of this issue.

Best Answer

Same here Brian, I'm on 4.24 and no option to update.

For those with Vitality Insurance that use Fitbit to track points, Vitality are also aware of the issue.

Yup, I have been having the same issue since last Monday. According to the Apple app store, it does look like v4.24 broke it. v4.25 which was released mid-week didn't fix it.

I have tried all sorts (e.g. turning off Exercise AutoTrack, Log out of app, Force-close app, reboot Charge 2, reboot iPhone, Login to app, turn on Exercise AutoTrack)...but it still won't work...so there appears to be no workaround.

Although mine is not showing the exercise, it is showing the Heart activity and Active Minutes so, for my Vitality app link, I have enough evidence to get my full points.

i had version v4.23 and had same issue.  So must be something fitbit server side?

Best Answer

Oh, it's now definitely device/server-side. But you say that you're on v4.23 and you experienced this too?

My phone had already updated to v4.24 when mine stopped so I assumed it was that update (to our devices), as I believe I had been on v4.23 for quite a while. However, if you're still/you were on 4.23 then, yes, not even device update (or not solely at least) but def something server-side/back-end.

Sloppy SDLC, especially in today's age.

Anyone having trouble tracking the heartrate today? I haven't been able to see this since midnight, and my activity is not recognized.

Best Answer

At one point when I did the 30 minute lap on my Wii Fit last night and had my Charge 2 set to run, it mentioned under the exercise part of the app that it got categorized as "Aerobics" instead of "Run".

Best Answer

An update for Fitbit just showed up on my Google Play app. If any of you get any updates like that on your phone, let me know if this helped resolve the glitch that we have been having for the past week into today.

Didn't work for me.  I don't think it's fixed yet.  😕

Best Answer

Yeah.  I have 4.25, which I also noticed it is not correctly logging HR zones and also changed all past HR zones to Light. I know, for a fact, I am rarely in the Light HR zone during a workout.

It didn't work for me.
I recieved a note that an update went out. Last night my phone app showed
4.25.1. My workout this morning (I set my fitbit to treadmill) did not
register on the phone. I noticed it took extra long for the app to sync
with the device. So I rechecked what version and it had changed to 4.25.2.
I set the device to log "Workout" - that did not sync to the phone.
Therefore, my experience is 25.1 and 25.2 did not fix the issue. The app
still shows information - like under heartrate I see the rate was up during
the treadmill, and my steps sync - just not syncing when set the device to
a specific type of activity.

I updated the app on April 13, 2024 to v.4.25 Since then the app is not properly detecting the exercises, not mapping anymore when I track outdoor bike. Everything tracks 11 minutes with the wrong heart rate data. When I delete a wrong exercise and log manually recording time, & distance of the ride, the right heart rate data shows up, but the time still says 11 minutes even though the ride 4:33 PM to 6:17 PM shows properly under the heart rate. If I back out of the exercise page back to the normal page the exercise disappears.
Kind of frustrating.
