Reposting this under a corrected subject heading.
my Charge 2 interval screen used to show the number of intervals completed and total. Now it just shows an overall countdown timer under the individual interval timer.
For example I run 12 2x2s. 2 min run, 2 min walk x 12.
The main interval screen used to show the current interval timer counting down, then below - move or rest depending on which one you were on, below that the current interval number I am on, slash, total intervals. So 3/12. 3rd interval out of 12 total. And that would count up as I go. 4/12, 5/12...etc.
I dont know if I pushed something but during a run, I was pushing the main left button, cycling thru the screens and then poof-the #/# indicator was gone, replaced by an overall timer counting down. I can't get the other back.

Im confused, the title is about daily step conts.
The post seems to be about the interval timer.
On the Charge 2 simply press and hold in the button the activate/deactivate a function.
You might want to go to fitbit's help site and download your manual.

@SunsetRunner Thanks for joining us! You just need to tap the tracker to go through the different screens on the interval training (countdown, BPM, calories and current time) if you let the screen go off you will see the interval and the total intervals set.
Let me know how it goes!

Thanks for the suggestion. But that doesn't work. Tried it. Many times. While in the Interval mode, if I tap the screen, all that happens is it runs through different screens but the same countdown timer is at the bottom, the one that replaced the interval counter.
If you tap the main button on the left, it puts the countdown timer on hold. If I hold it in, it just stops the workout as if you were finished.
If I just let it go black, nothing changes.
argh.

Im suddenly having this same issue with the interval not showing. So 1/8, 2/8 etc is gone. All of a sudden it was gone one day. Did you ever get a fix for it?

Hi Katt
No I didn't. I contacted Fitbit and got zero help. Just the typical fake smiley customer service BS answer that's really no answer at all or any help. They vaguely mentioned they are working to improve things.
They gave me 20% off if I buy a new Fitbit. wth??
I have also noted that the pulse monitor feature is failing now as well. I'll be out on my workout, and it just drops offline. I noticed there will be a spike in my pulse, which is not really happening, but on the fitbit it shows a spike and then it just drops offline. May or may not come back. And that doesn't help when I'm trying to keep my heart rate in the fat burn zone as opposed to cardio. I'm all aware of having the fitbit on my wrist correctly, but this is not a placement issue. Very frustrated.
I've gone through factory resets, and that does nothing. There's been zero help here, but I don't expect a community forum to be responsible for solving the issue. This is purely a Fitbit problem and all they've proven to be is a complete letdown.
I think the Charge 2 is really just a piece of crap. I'm going to getting a Garmin soon.
Sorry, wish I had better news. My recommendation is go with Garmin, or some other brand.

Figured I'd give another update as it's been quite a while. The problem has never been fixed by Fitbit and I no longer use the Charge 2. I've moved on to bigger and better things with a Garmin Vivosport. which is a true GPS tracker-not some cell tower triangulation garbage. I don't need to drag my phone with me whatsoever, it literally tracks you and once you sync when you get home, it shows the map and exactly where you were. Very accurate. Very VERY happy with the Garmin-so many improvements over the Charge 2, I don't even know where to begin. My fitbit is now nothing more than a watch. And I was not impressed at all with getting help on this issue with the company. Will never buy a Fitbit again. Go with a Garmin.

Thanks for the update! I have heard lots of good things about the Garmin! I was thinking the other day when I noticed my Fitbit band peeling...again...that its time for an upgrade!
