Hi,

Also you might want to look at the charging cable for damage.
@Mickki your new charge 2, has it been setup yet? Or has it never woked. Did it ever have the www.fitbit.com/setup messag
Thank you for suggestions!
I left it for changing for 24h - nothing happened - still no charging.
I tested wires on cable, it gives slightly above +4V, so the cable is not damaged.

Interesting.
During a process It accidentally dropped down to a floor, and then started charging. LoL
Looks it's required a shock/kick? I can't a suggest it to others, but it works in my case...

IMHO, I think these issues all have to do with the charger not making good contact with the contacts on the back of the fitbit. In my case, I have to wiggle it quite a bit until I see the charging icon, then set it down very gently, making sure the icon is still illuminated before it times out. Only then will it charge and actually work.
I've had several cases where I didn't do that, and I came back only to find the my device had not charged.
If you have a dead screen entirely, I can only suggest to try wiggling the charger a bit and then leaving it for awhile hoping it gets into a position where it actually chargers

I do the same thing...toggle the Charge 2 until I see the moving lines on the screen ☺ I make sure the lines are moving on the screen when I put down my Charge 2, too, because there have been times when it has stopped charging.

@SunsetRunner your tracker is showing exactly what it should. Their will be no charging indicator until the tracker is setup and the logo and address disapeer.
You need to use the fitbit app, or the connect software to set it up. Log into your account, add device, and follow directions

Me too! And now I can't even get it to vibrate when I connect it to a brand new charger. Let alone trying to restart it. It just keeps changing from notifications on/off. 😡😡😡

same problem not showing the battery symbol when tracker is set into its charger and the charger is plugged into a wall cube. I was starting to answer the setup questions when I got a notice that I had to charge my device because the battery was too low to proceed with the setup. I've ben trying for 8 hours. what should I do to even know if it is charging? I have turned it off and on and clipped it in and out repeatedly.

Interesting! Thanks for that info. I've been using an alcohol wipe on the contacts after every workout.

why doesn't this information included in the set up manual. How would we have known. This is frustrating and a waste of consumer's time.

Same problem here! Brand new Fitbit Charger 2. I've had it plugged in twice and it won't charge. Now the battery power is almost out and I have it charging once again. I hope I wake up tomorrow to find that it's charged back up. I have a sinking feeling, after reading everyone's post that I wont be. I don't know how to reset it and I don't mind telling everyone that I'm very attached to it... lol. I hope we have a full battery in the morning. Uggghhh.....

Same problem appears again. Can not charge my "fitbit charge 2" anymore!
What a sad device.
Alcohol on wires does not help. Just black screen, no vibrations, no any light, just dead device.
I tested charger, it gives 4+ Volts on wires, so it works. Problem in device.
What should I do? Can I ask replacement from fitbit?

I believe my post was premature. I've learned more about my Fitbit Charge 2 and realize it's been charging all along. My Fitbit seems to be in good working condition.

Sorry for not posting this earlier. My Fitbit Charge 2 has been charging all along. I had to learn my way around the website and device.
All is well with my Fitbit Charge 2.

Hi,
I just bought my charge 2 a few hours ago and am trying to get it up and running. At the moment I am unable to sync it even though the blue tooth has picked it up. Numbers pop on the screen such as now 4528 was on there. I don't know what this means.
Any suggestions?

Hi Tracey,
I didn't have this issue with my Fitbit Charge 2. I'm no expert... just a
new user.
Sorry I couldn't have been more helpful.

Did you get your Fitbit working yet?
I think you enter those numbers either on your phone or computer, I cannot remember. Call Fitbit if necessary, they are very helpful on the phone.
