For two days in a row, my fitbit does not register any steps.

No problem.
My fitbit has been giving me fits too, as you may see from my posts. But it’s stable now, it’s working OK now.
When I do heavy exercise, I wear it half way up my arm pretty tight to register heart rate correctly. I also keep my fore-arm horizontal and swing it when I walk and that records steps accurately.

Best AnswerPlace it on the charger and then once it’s connected correctly, hold the side button down until it shows the startup diamond and code at the bottom.
I have to do this almost daily because mine quits tracking all the time. Ridiculous!!
