Charge 2 not showing sleep stages data

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I have had my Charge 2 for 2 years (I think).  At first I did not use the HR sensor due to battery drainage. Recently I started to.  But it fails to record specific sleep stage data.  It records total sleep time (and waking and restlesness) but never has recorded sleep data.  I have no idea why.

@mmeisler Welcome! It's great to see you around!

Let me help you with your sleep stages data. You may not get them for the following reasons:

  • If you slept in a position that prevented your device from getting a consistent heart-rate reading or wore it too loosely. For best results, wear your device higher on your wrist (about 2-3 finger widths above your wrist bone). The band should feel secure but not too tight.
  • If you used the Begin Sleep Now option in the Fitbit app (instead of simply wearing your device to bed). For more information on automatic sleep tracking, see How do I track my sleep?
  • If you slept for less than 3 hours.
  • If your device’s battery is critically low.

I suggest you clean the back of your device with cotton and rubbing alcohol and restart it. Turn the heart rate off, save and sync then turn it on save and sync again. Also check these tips to improve the heart rate reading on your device.

Let me know how it goes.

Been there done that. I have read the instructions or wouldn't have posted
the question. Since I see large number of people with the same problem I am
just assuming it I'd the device and there is nothing to do.
