I've owned Charge 2 for about three years. A month ago, it stopped automatically detecting my running. It is not showing on weekly exercises tile on my iPhone, my Windows laptop, or internet dashboard. I also noticed the battery was not lasting as long, only about three days, so I purchased a new Charge 2 special edition. Still nothing on weekly exercises. The only way they show is I have to manually log them, or push the button to start an exercise shortcut. I've tried restarting the tracker several times in a row, turning Bluetooth off/on, logging out, deleting app, restarting phone, installing app, but nothing is working. I contacted customer support and they sent me a new tracker. Same problem! Why isn't Smart track working? Help! TIA

@Mpolanow It's great to see that you've visited the Fitbit Community! Sorry for the delay in my reply.
Let me help you with your activity detection. Your device detects activities based on the motion on your arm. The automatic detection is a feature called SmartTrack. For example when using the elliptical machine make sure you have the moving bars so your device detects the motion and record the activity itself, once an Elliptical activity is saved on your account it should show on the Recent Exercise area. If your heart rate is high but there isn't much motion (yoga, weight lifting, etc.) then these activities will be difficult to be detected by your device. Also make sure the time to detect an activity is correctly set on its settings.
Let me know how it goes.

Still not tracking. One day while on the phone I starred walking, that 21 minute showed up in exercises. I was holding the phone w/left hand, same hand as Charge 2. Later that day, I ran for an hour, arms pumping, and it's not in exercise. Why is running not showing on exercise role?

Since they have updated the dashboard my gym sessions are not recorded in weekly exercise. It does still record that I have been active for 60 mins plus just not as part of my weekly exercise.
Nor does it recognise the correct number of times I go up and down stairs - it even said I had climbed 1 flight as I went DOWNSTAIRS first thing one morning!
