Charge 2 pairing and battery issue

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

My charge 2 is no longer pairing, resulting in missed calls etc. I am using a Samsung a9 which the tracker was paired to previously. When I go in to my phone Bluetooth, charge 2 comes up but will not pair (stating make sure device is ready to pair) and having checked all settings I cannot see why.

My battery on charge 2 is also no longer holding much charge and having to charge it nearly every day.

Any help would be appreciated before I chuck this thing out the window!

@Deedle82 Welcome to the Fitbit Community! I hope you're doing well! Sorry for the delay in my reply.

Let me help you with your tracker's battery life and notifications.

The bluetooth connection is handled by the Fitbit app. You can try the following:

  • Go to your phone's bluetooth settings and remove all devices listed there.
  • Restart your phone and restart your device
  • Also, if you are using an Android device, check that your app has the necessary permissions (settings > apps > Fitbit > permissions) and make sure bluetooth and location services (GPS) are on.
  • You can find additional suggestions here.

Regarding the battery life try cleaning the contacts using cotton with rubbing alcohol then charge it by plugging it for a couple of hours directly to your computer's usb port (try different ports) or use an UL listed usb wall adapter. After this, restart your device and see how it behaves.

Let me know how it goes.

Thank you for posting a response. Unfortunately today my Fitbit decided to die after setting alarms and notifications by itself for a few hours.

I did however speak to customer support who were very kind to assist me so this comment can now be closed.
