How long had you had the fitbit.  Mine died after 17 months.

Mine was activated on May 13, 2017...died June 28, 2018!!! Just over 1 year and one month!!!All I was offered was 25% off my next purchase!!! Like I am going to shell out almost $200 for a year and a month to spend MORE...with the possibility of  this happening again? They just lost me as a endorser for the product. Buyer beware!!! And do your research...there are more of us out there!!!

I had a similar experience. I've had my charge 2 for 17 months and I noticed the battery draining much faster around 11 or 12 months before the warranty expired. I called in and they suggested I change a few features like turning off "all day sync" since it drains the battery faster. I did that and the battery was marginally better. But it still lasted longer for the first 9 months WITH all day sync. Looking back I should have called customer support back right away. Now all they will offer is 25% off. I loved my Fitbit  charge 2 experience and even got an Aria but I'm not impressed with customer support. I am very active and health conscious and I loved all the insight Fitbit provided but I was expecting my charge 2 to last longer than 2 days after 13 months. If Fitbit is not able to do anything more than 25% off a new purchase I will be taking my business elsewhere.

tl;dr if you are within 12 months and you're battery isn't lasting, insist for a replacement.

Hello, my charge 2 doesn't even last a day in regards to holding a charge.  It never lasted more than maybe 2 days, but not even a day, is just unacceptable. It seems so many people are having this problem. I have done every thing fitbit suggested, nothing works.  I did change it back to version 2.74.2, which helped some.  I would have to charge it at least 3 times a day. I'm about ready to throw mine away, and be done with fit bit.  I would never advise anyone to buy one at this point.  It is sad, it has been at least 3 weeks, I have been dealing with a bad fit bit with nothing, so far that corrects what ever is going wrong with the fit bit.

Yeah, I've had a similar issue lately. Starting nearly a month ago my Fitbit has just been dying abnormally fast. It was rather normal at lasting 4 to 5 days then one of the times it died after 3 days and did that the next couple times I charged. After letting it sit for a week in hopes of it just fixing itself after being left alone I charged it to nearly 100%. After not even a day and a half I have now gotten the low battery warning an my fitbit is already at 25%. Is anyone else having a similar issue where their fitbit just begins to die super fast instead of lasting the near full week that it should?

I am tired of the poor quality of fitbit products. I am trying the Garmin sports watches instead.

I’m still charging mine on a regular, unbelievable! I’m very disappointed with the experience. And that 25 percent off of another doesn’t make any sense to me.

So there’s no way to get a replacement battery? My charge 2 functions when connected to the charger and for a few minutes after, then dies. I spoke with support, but I’m in the second year and no longer covered by warranty so was only offered 25% off a new device.

I’m in the same boat. It functions when plugged in and for a minute or two after then dies... got offered the same 25%

Getting the same message from a lot of people. Most last around 16 months, then just die. Good luck!

If you go on youtube and search charge 2 battery...you will find a site that sells working used charge 2 batteries and you can solder it in yourself if you are handy that way...if not....you have an expensive paper weight!!!! Fitbit doesn't care about their customers....obviously there is a problem flaw with their batteries and should offer an exchange!!!!

My battery lasts less than 5 hours.  Purchased in 12/2016. Warranties are only good for 1 year. Unless you purchase an extended warranty ( was not offered when purchased). So they will give a discount to purchase a new one and now you can purchase an extended warranty. Not a happy customer. Good Luck.

My Fitbit Charge 2 only lasted 15 months. I feel after seeing others having dead batteries and no way for them to be replaced as I have experienced, I could not refer anyone to the Fitbit.

It worked well for 1 year but it is too expensive to replace every year.

I am having the exact same problem and my Charge 2 is only 15 months old. Customer Service offered 25% coupon but why would I buy another when I'm not satisfied with this one. We have 5 fitbits (varying models) in our family and I will strongly suggest we discontinue patronizing Fitbit once the others die!

I bought a replacement battery to change out.....do not do this....it is NOT the battery!!! Same thing was happening with the new battery.....it is something within the electronics and I do not want to pay for exploration. Fitbit should swap out the defective pieces for another....for all of us!

Mine lasted 22 months but same issue as everyone else. I've contacted support and they had me charge it after turning everything off (notifications, all-day sync, HR, etc.) and then periodically syncing. I did that and it lasted a little over 24 hours. Support was able to confirm the rapid drain on their end. I am waiting to see what they are going to do. If they offer 25% off a new product I will switch to something other than Fitbit. This just has to be a defect in the product and they should replace it or offer a larger discount.

I just received this response:

We highly appreciate your prompt response with the requested information regarding the short life of the battery of your Charge 2.
Upon reviewing our records, based on the data you've shared with us, we're able to confirm that your tracker has exceeded the warranty period. For more information about our Fitbit Warranty Policy, click here.
Nonetheless, we don't want you to feel that if everything is lost. We want you to get back on track as soon as possible so you can continue beating your records.
Therefore, we'd like to provide you with a 25% discount, applicable to any of our trackers at the Fitbit Store, excluding Ace and Charge 3.
Please note that it also applies to both of our Smartwatches, the Versa and the Ionic (this one with 40% off). We've sent it on a separate email so please make sure to double check the junk and spam folders.
Let's us know if you have any questions; please contact us back. We look forward to hearing from you. We're not done until you are 100% satisfied with our support!

I replied that I had lost faith in Fitbit's production (having had an issue with my first Fitbit as well). I don't expect a full replacement, as I did enjoy it for 22 months, but 25% off for a systemic problem is not enough. I am moving on to another company.

They would give me 40% off a specific model of a fit bit or a 25% on the other fit bit trackers for up to 30 days.
