My charge 2 screen keeps scrolling on its own and then it suddenly stops and gets stuck on one screen and you can't change it. I press the button and nothing happens, i have rebooted the device and re installed the app numerous times and it still doesn't rectify the problem. Has anyone else had this problem?

I tried restarting 3 times then another 3 times then.... well you know where I'm going with it, worked temporarily for me but just went back to its old ways. Long and the short of it, I contacted fitbit and luckily my charge 2 is still under their 2 year warranty and they are sending a brand new one out

my charge 2 is having the same issues, as the rest of you my device is just outside of the warranty period so i was only offered 25% off a new one. I am extremely disappointed in the life span of this product. It seems that this product should have lasted more than a little over a year. I would think that if so many people are having the same issue then it is a device issue over a user issue. Im sad because I liked my device and im kinda lost without it. I may be looking at different brands to replace my device with.
has anyone come up with an actual fix for this?

Same issue here, it started doing this behaviour while sitting behind my desk. I take good care of all my electronics. Phones, tablets, TV's I replace because of age, not because they break down on me. Most if my (if not all) Fitbit devices I replace because they are broken. Typically all right outside the warranty period. It's a bit fishy to me. The only Fitbit device which is still going strong is my scale (version 1).
Tried fixing my Charge 2 it with the restarting it 3 times, etc. Contacted support, and they offered me a whopping 25% discount...
I wonder how many other people are out there with similar experiences. Couple be a an easy way for them to force people to upgrade, like the iPhone's battery issues. Could be...
I am very disappointed in Fitbit and currently looking at alternatives which are cheaper, last longer, or where you as a customer still feel king.

Agreed! I wondered the same thing.

I am disgusted with Fitbit the company. With so many people having this issue, it should be obvious to them that they should at least make an effort to resolve this issue. Last Firmware update has passed and gone for several months ... maybe over a year now.
Also, with so many people experiencing this issue, you would think that Fitbit would collect some of these Fitbit devices to try to explain what is causing this problem. When one calls Fitbit Support, they should not be guessing what is causing this issue. It is not like they are hearing this for the first time. They know what the problem is, but they have made a decision that it is not cost effective to fix this Issue. Their solution is to throw a discount and make the customer buy another device. This should be illegal because they Broke It with their firmware, and one can argue, they may be doing this on purpose to force Customers to purchase their newer devices. This is an awful, devious business model if this is the case. Why should I invest on a new product of theirs, if they are not willing to back their own products? Every other industry offers Recalls, but not Fitbit. NO that would be too expensive for them, and it would hit their bottom line badly.
My recommendation would be drop Fitbit and lets hurt them where it counts ... no more Fitbit Sales!

I totally agree with not supporting Fitbit by purchasing another one of their products. As you mention, Fitbit should resolve the issue like any other "bug fix". By not doing so, that speaks loud and clear to me and as a consumer, literally, I'm not buying it.

I started having the same problem about a week ago. The fitbit just starts scrolling and vibrating non-stop until it runs out of battery. I've tried resetting it and nothing works. I won't be buying another product from them until they stand behind the one I already own!!

Yup, last Saturday mine started randomly scrolling.
After a reset it seemed working fine, but after a few hours same thing.
Again reset and again working fine for a while. Until last night I woke up with a vibrating charge 2 😞
Now it won't stop, only in the cradle. Once out, still scrolling.
Hope I'm still in the warranty period

Fitbit Charge 2 keeps scrolling continuously and battery getting discharged?

Well time for an update. Indeed I was offered a 25% discount by Fitbit. I decided tot play dumb, and sent in my charge 2 for repair to my retailer, (I bought mine at bol.com, dutch company). Long story short: I got a full refund, despite IT was out of warranty, by 6 months.
So I immediatly ordered the Charge 3, which I'm using for 2 weeks now.
On the service part by Fitbit: they tried to help, but in hindsight, the charge 2 got waterdamaged, and was beyond rescue.

yes mine does the same as well. I can't even wear it or it just starts to act up.

Mine started this a couple weeks ago, even updated the FW the other day, nothing is helping
Now it won't charge.
I called support, he kept telling me b/c the device was replaces (don't know when and he can't tell me...) that is the reason why it's shutting down. Hmmmm
So I asked to speak with a supervisor and now I'm on endless hold, guess they are hoping I'll just hang up and go away
What a joke FB, this is NOT how to treat customers

Yes, it happened to me yesterday. It kept vibrating on my wrist as well. Fitbit customer service attempted to troubleshoot but to no avail. Junk!

After synching my Charge 2 the face showed notification and continuously shifted between on and off. Pressing the button shows the time and tapping the face shows the various functions associated while showing time. Cannot click to run stopwatch, etc. After fully charging the Charge2 the battery is depleted in about 2 hours. The picture of the battery will sometimes stay before going to notification and continuously switching on and off. Any hope of fixing?
