After the fitbit's battery died, after charging it shows wrong date and time. I've tried removing it from my bluetooth devices. (I do not have it paired to my phone - only computer- as I've only recently got a smart phone.) On the dashboard, now it shows I have nothing paired, though the bluetooth shows it being paired. I keep seeing "force connect" in advice, but do not see the icon I'm told to find, only bluetooth. I seem to be going around in circles.

@farthingmill Until you can sync the Charge 2 again, it will show the incorrect time. Once you sync, it will update with the correct information.
If you are not seeing it on your account anymore, you may have to set up again.

Best AnswerI'm trying to set it up again, but not having any luck with that either. Trying to set up with my new smart phone (Galaxy), but it isn't seeing it, even with it held in the same hand.

@farthingmill Be sure you turn off bluetooth on your PC - then try again on your phone. (The bluetooth connection from PC may be interfering with it)

Hi, I haven't left time zone or anything, the time is just and hour and 45 minutes ahead. I have tried everything. Any other suggestions before I call the help line?
Best AnswerPlease help can't change time and date
on charger2
Best AnswerI was able to reset the time by going to Advanced Settings, Turning off Automatic time zone and Automatic location and then changing to a different time zone with the same GMT offset. After that, I synced and the time updated to the correct time. I was then able to Turn Automatic time zone and Automatic location back on and the time stayed correct.
This is the 3rd time this has happened in the last 4 months or so. I had tried everything including full reset, removing and replacing the device from my phone and from my computer. I can't recall how I finally fixed it the last 2 times, but after trying a few other things this time (I don't have my cord with me now), the Time Zone resetting worked.
I will be able to test this process the next time the time spontaneously changes, but I'm hoping there will be an update that will fix this problem once and for all.
Syncing does not fix date and time.
Nor does changing the time zone.
My fitbit is stuck on November 30 at 2:41pm. It is actually Jan 9 1:16pm.
Best AnswerThere really are only two, possibly three things to try,,
Restart the tracker.
Setup the timezone through the app or web or set the timezone to auto in the phone app.
Now sync the tracker.

Best AnswerThanks for your reply. I did all you suggested as well as reinstalling the app on my phone before posting and was about to give up. i had one last aatempt with restarting, and . . . success! Happy now that I can get back on track! Thanks.
Best AnswerI managed to fix my problem after my post to this forum.
One thing I did that I hadn't tried before was to delete my old Fitbit Flex. I don't know whether that was what made the difference, but this time rather than just clicking 'sync' and assuming that synching was happening, there was actually a message 'synching now' (or similar).
So if you have any old Fitbits on your account, remove them and see if that works for you.
Susan
Best AnswerThanks, Susan. You may have given me an explanation as to why my problem was fixed. When checking my phone I noticed that somehow I had two fitbit accounts there. I have only ever had one fitbit so don't know how that happened. I deleted one and had another try at restarting and miraculously success with syncing and date change.
Best AnswerCheers. This solved it for me. Account, advanced settings, turned off automatic time zone and turned on automatic location.
I think the time I turned location on it had already worked.
I did prior to this made sure it had recognised my device in the Bluetooth android settings section.
