I was interested to read your post Jacci1962 as I have noticed a crack on my screen that is almost in the centre and runs from bottom to top. It has not had any impact but is being worn on my arm in temperatures up to 33 degrees C. It looks like it could be the screen expanding and being held at the edges and it has no alternative but to eventually crack, due to expansion. I will be interested to hear from FitBit as to whether this is a design fault. I wonder how thorough the testing of these devices is, in various climates.

@Giscard Welcome! Thanks for being part of our Community! Sorry to hear about your damaged Charge 2 screen. I don't know much about the design and testing process but if you have an issue with your device you can let our Support team know about it. They will review your issue and provide options. I noticed that you already have a ticket with them so I wanted to know if they were able to help you.
I look forward to your reply!

Just in case your conversation with FitBit (if you are having one) falls flat. I had a similar problem: split screen and the device out of warranty and having read other such comments felt it pointless to contact FitBit. It could be a design fault, however!
I repaired mine using a strip of transparent book cover protector (79p roll from The Range). Cut a strip the width of the face of the device and a little longer, put in place and trim off excess using a sharp knife. Repeat as necessary. Might be a useful tip for those users whose Charge 2 screen is still whole, stick a cover on now and beat the crack.

Hi,
My screen on my Fitbit has also mysteriously split with no impact. Less than 2 years old- present Christmas before last. Disappointed to say the least.
