Charge 2 stopped syncing yesterday, error message "Fitbit.com is unavailable."

My charge 2 was syncing fine, until yesterday.

On the phone opened fitbit and it won't sign in "Fitbit.com is unavailable.Please try later".

So try fitbit connect, New version, Just fitbit so rather than something easy, you must have a microsoft account, so off to the store, four or 5 clicks later a replacement. Then resign in! This can't find the charge 2, the fitbit dongle is next to the keyboard dongle which is working. Played with the dongle a little different port. connect now says " in order to sync, please make sure to uninstall fitbit connect or any other apps that are trying to use Fitbit Base Station".  Now asked to try and pair it using windows settings, found the scales in the ensuite,

Fitbit Base Station, what is that.?  How was connect trying to find 1.a bluetooth service, 2 the charge.

The real issue is that not many apps on an android phone ask for re,sign ins. to then say i have asked you to sign in but now i won't accept it is disastrous. returning to the android app, still can not find fitbit.com, so can Chrome find it. yes, return to your app, and it still can not find fitbit.com. Two messages sandwiching accessing what could not be found being accessed on the same phone which is no biased in the services it offers to apps.

Searching for bluetooth devices I found plenty but no charge 2. While the phone app cannot login because Fitbit,com is eluding it, I wonder if the charge 2 has lost its bluetooth.

Also next time i get a full page advert for a charge 4 instead of my profile fitbit.com, you may change my upgrade plans, to one where i reevaluate everything.

@Rod_r47 Thanks for stopping by!

Let me help you with your Charge 2 not syncing with your phone or computer. Not sure which software you downloaded on your computer. Could you share a screenshot of the error messages you are getting on your computer and phone? You can also try the following:

  1. Go to your phone's bluetooth settings and remove all devices listed there.
  2. Restart your phone and restart your device
  3. Check that no battery saving app/feature on your phone is affecting your Fitbit app.
  4. Also, on an Android device, check that your app has the necessary permissions (settings > apps > Fitbit > permissions) and make sure bluetooth and location services (GPS) are on.
  5. You can find troubleshooting instructions for your phone and computer here.

Let me know how it goes.
