Wanted to add that having had this long standing problem and being offered a replacement by Fitbit, I have now got everything working as it should. Problem was that my time settings were manual and with my time incorrect on my iPhone it wasn't allowing all day sync or notifications to come through. Set time settings to 'automatic' and voila! All functioning perfectly. Worth a try for anyone else out there struggling x

I can get the call notifications, but not text. I have:
It prompts me that the Charge 2 wants to pair with my iPhone, but I never receive a 4-digit pairing code. What do i need to do to receive text notifications on my Charge 2?

I spent 30 minutes reading forums and trouble shooting yesterday. Tried everything the forums said. Then 30 minutes on the phone with tech support and re-tried everything. No solution other than to return it and get a new one. Then this morning I accidentally discovered the solution. For a Charge 2, use the button on the fitbit to scroll to notifications. Then push the button in and hold it in ... that change the state back on on (or off if you want to turn it off again). So simple and yet so elusive...

Issue resolved. The one person who was sending me texts to test the functionality was listed as "Do Not Disturb" on my iPhone.Once changed, the alerts come through fine.

Iphone 6. Going to bluetooth setting and forget this device 'charge 2' and reconnecting solved my problem.
May have to do it more than once.

I too have tried everything. Only had this for two weeks. Ever since I charged it for a third time my text and call and calendar appointments don't come to my Fitbit. I have tried everything also. Luckily I bought it as Best Buy with insurance plan. I guess the next step is the Geek Squad

I followed the instructions. When I reinstalled the app I was given the option to establish a new acct or log in. Never saw the option to "add a new devise w/ existing acct". I logged into my acct, not sure if it fixed the problem

Have you checked to make sure the notifications are turned on in your Fitbit itself? Tap the side button about 5 times until notifications show up. If it says off then press and hold the button until it says on. This is what my issue was. I hope it helps.

Be sure to check that you haven’t accidentally turned off notifications on the Fitbit itself.
Push the button on the Fitbit for about a second till it displays “Notifications off”. Keep holding the button till it displays “Notifications on”.
Way easier than resetting everything 🙂
