Charge 2 suddenly quit holding charge longer than 1hr.  Does this mean its toast or is it something FitBit can help with?

Not sure. Mine just started doing this as well. I can't remember if I had to charge it Friday or not but I got basic sleep chart which indicates the battery likely needed charging. I charged it Saturday morning it was dead by Sunday morning. Friday into Saturday it only recorded about 2 hours of sleep which I know I got a little more than that not much. Charged it then Sunday morning, went for a run on Sunday and it was dead after my run so I charged it again. I woke up this morning to it only having a few hours of sleep recorded and fitbit was dead again. I'm thinking the battery is going bad. But also seeing as a few people have reported the issue I wonder if some sort of firmware somehow got added to charge 2s. I've had mine for just over 3 years.

Software update? Mine also started this without warning within the past few days. Tried different plugs, ports, resets, etc... It takes a charge but dies super quickly - when I hadrwire it to my phone, the app says the battery is full. Something seems up since a bunch of people suddenly have the same issue...

@Vazzano @AlishaH @Mario-C  It's great to see you in the Community!

Let me help you with your Charge 2 not holding a charge and thank you for troubleshooting this issue. Try cleaning the contacts using cotton swab with rubbing alcohol, then charge it by plugging it for a couple of hours directly to your computer's USB port (try different ports) or use an UL-certified USB adapter. After this, restart your device and see how it behaves. You can follow these instructions to help improve the battery life.

Let me know how it goes.

I've tried that already. Today one of the green heart rate lights started staying on. I've tried turning the heart rate monitoring off and on multiple times and have since left it off, but the light remains on and as a result the device gets a bit warm and does after only a few hours.

The same thing is happening to me with mine- charge isn’t holding, and one of the green monitoring lights stays on constantly- even if the Fitbit is dead now, one of the green lights stays on, just dim once it dies.

not sure what to do about it.

I’ve tried this twice over the past three days and last night it officially lasted a few hours (by the time I went to sleep at say 1, it was dead before I woke up at 7)
