Charge 2 won’t pair

Good morning,

I am the owner of Fitbit Charge 2. I have recently started to expercience issues with data synchronization between the watch and my Samsung J6+ I see that the device should be supported by Fitbit. I tried to reset bluetooth, mobile,log out,reinstall app,remove the device from app. Now I can’t even pair the watch back with fitbit app. It has been trying to pair for several minutes and then it failed. Could you please help? It starts to be annoying as there are still some issues.

Restarting it done the trick for me. I was worried about resetting it
because I had almost 50,000 steps fir the 3 days it wouldn't pair. And
when it did pair I got my cloud badge.

I get the badges etc but I do not get the text messeges to the Fitbit from my phone. It wont even show up in my bluetooth list on my Samsung phone. Sent from my Samsung Galaxy smartphone.

My Fitbit has not synced since 5/16/19. I tried everything except resetting my Fitbit. I just tried that and now it syncs with no problem.

I replied earlier to confirm i have tried everything suggested in all the replies and forums and still nothing works. It is now over a month and my fit will still not sync. I have tried this with multiple blue tooth devices so i know it is the tracker that has a fault. The date and time are now also incorrect. A re start does not fix this. I am extremely disappointed that there are a large volume of people who have this issue with the Tracker, and Fit Bit do not seem to want to own the issue? It seems to me like there is a firm ware issue as it seemed to affect a huge majority of people at the same time.
 
What are your suggestions please? My device is completely useless and I cannot replace it - it was expensive enough to start with.

I am having the same problem... will syn with my J4+ but wont' pair... have tried restarting my Charge 2 half a dozen times, restarted my phone the same... also, it keeps telling me there is an update available but when I try to update it fails... everytime... tracker is next to my phone... bluetooth is on... could it be that it wont update cos it wont pair..? anyone got any ideas please? how do you put charge 2 in pairing mode???

How do you rest the fitbit as I am having problems synchronising and connecting my fitbit to my phone

Im having the same issue...! I have the galaxy s8 and its worked with my phone fine for 2 years! And now its just completely stopped syncing since monday

Hi,

I'm having the exact same issue for the last two days... it is annoying and frustrating.  Has Fitbit changed something in their software?  I've uninstalled and re-installed the app, turned bluetooth off and on, even unplugged the dongle and replaced it - still I get the sync error.  It went from working fine, to not working.  If this is an effort to get us to buy a newer model... it is backfiring, because I will buy something different if this continues.  First the Aria didn't recognize me... and now this... Not acceptable.

I haven't heard of any update. I am curious if it is a Fitbit issue or a Samsung issue. Since my Samsung update I am having issues pairing with my car and bluetooth speaker at home as well. May have to go into Samsung and see what the issue isSent from my Samsung Galaxy smartphone.

I am curious if this is a fit bit issue or a Samsung issue. I have been able to pair since the Samsung update. I've also had issues connecting to my car and my home bluetooth speaker. Curious as to what phones everyone is using to try to pair with their Fitbit??

I'm having the same issue of not syncing after the update. If it can't be fixed I'll certainly not buy a new Fitbit. Whose to say another update won't  create the same issue? Besides if the update messed up our ability to sync, it's Fitbit"s responsibility to rectify the situation. I am very upset about this.

It seams to have happened when I got a new phone which is different than what I had. Only issue I have is I don't get notifications on calls like I used to so phone notes is what really need to have while extra note on Fitbit was extra almost all areas still working. Hoping Fitbit can correct someday.Powered by Cricket Wireless

I tried removing the link to Fitbit from my Strava app. Tried one more time to link with Fitbit and it worked! Re-established the link with Fitbit from Strava and now everything works.

My phone did a system update and now it works...managed to pair my fitbit
