Charge 2 won't sync

For the last week my charge 2has refused to sync. The app is set to always connected and all day sync. I have reset the tracker several times in the charger. I have turned my phone on and off, turned the Bluetooth on and off, logged out and back into the app, force stopped the app and reopened. Nothing has worked. I get no error message so I'm assuming it can "see" the tracker.

What else can I do?

No offence but how is this an accepted soliution? I shouldn't have to restart the phone, restart Bluetooth and so on just to sync with the device. I never used to.

The last few weeks the Charge 2 won't track walks because it says there is no connection to the app. I paid a lot of money for this device and it should work better than it is.

My fitbit has never been good at tracking my unit. And it has not synced  since 4th January. Its only 9 months old, I feel that is disgraceful for such a costly item. For your company to release such an Under-proven item for sale is shameful.

I am just reporting the status of my problem. This thread was already
"solved" when I added my voice.

Charge 2 still not syncing properly, the only way to get it to sync on my laptop windows 10, is if I sync it manually on my samsung phone first........why is this happening as it didn't used to?  Why is this marked as solved when it clearly isn't and I know I am not the only one having the same issues and why has noone from FItbit addressed any of the issues on here?  Seriously?!?!?!

Unless something has changed, you should choose which device your Fitbit is
syncing with. I discovered some time back that while having 2 devices set
to sync directly with the Fitbit works sometimes, it causes problems.
Better to choose one, and the others will link up through the web. I use my
phone.

Well the reason I started to sync it with my phone is because it stopped working on my laptop.  I did only have it on my laptop originally.

After working fine for months after getting my Charge2 syncing again,
somehow my iPad "grabbed" the link away from my Droid phone! Even though
the iPad is set to ignore the Fitbit! Looks like I'll be going back
through the whole process again.

Can you share how you fixed it?  Was it with the earlier suggestions on this page? TIA

I called their support and they sent me a toggle to plug into my laptop and it's been working fine ever since.

I found instructions for that, I think in this thread.

I think they went like this;
1. Attach the charging clip to the Fitbit.
2. Plug the clip into a computer's USB port.
3. Hold the Fitbit's button down 3 seconds.

This didn't fix the issue on my Charge 2. The Fitbit ap on my phone
eventually got an update and that turned the tide.

In the meantime I'd taken a piece of advice on this thread to install the
Fitbit ap on my Windows 10 laptop, turn its Bluetooth on, and use it for
syncing. That went very smoothly.

Now I'm back to using my phone.

Updating the app to the latest version did the trick for me just now!

I've started using an app called Bluetooth Reboot by Justin Mockler. I add a widget next to the Fitbit app and press reboot each time I am going to track a walk.

What makes this app different is it silently restarts Bluetooth, if you do it manually you get the dialogue screen to connect to devices.

We shouldn't have to resort to this type of thing but it seem we do.

I did get a reply in another thread that my phone, a Samsung Galaxy A5 2017, isn't listed as being compatible with my Charge 2 so there is no guarantee they will work together. I find that unbelievable!

I had a similar problem although my worked fine for a couple months before it wouldn't sync. I tried quite a few things but eventually what fixed it was I took the device off my dashboard (had to look around to find that) and then I went to the Fitbit site and started over with the setup. Good luck.

For whatever reason the BT link on the Charge2 is fragile. I commented
before that somehow the BT signal from my iPad had "claimed" my Charge2,
stopping it from syncing with my Droid phone. I let this go for a few
weeks, but decided to fix the situation. What worked was fairly simple. I
shut down the BT connection on the iPad, and then shut off BT entirely.
Then I just synced on the Droid. For anyone having problems, make sure
your Charge2 isn't trying to sync with multiple devices. Not sure how you
can know, though with my iPad it was clear as it would automatically sync,
and I could see it in the App, which would then let my Droid App update
too. But it wouldn't sync through the Droid.
