Charge 2 wont sync

I need help! 

Ive tried everything, ive removed all other bluetooth devices, reset my bluetooth multiple times, restarted my fitbit 3x in a row, un and reinstalled the app, my software version is 22.22.5 and i just tried unpairing it from my bluetooth and removing the device from my account and re-setting it up but now its not pairing for set up...

Let me help you with your Charge 2 not syncing and thank you for troubleshooting this issue. Which phone are you using? Is it compatible? I would like to ask you to retry some of the troubleshoots but in the following order. 

 

  • Go to your phone's bluetooth settings and remove all devices listed there.
  • Restart your phone and restart your device and try syncing them.
  • Also, if you are using an Android device, check that your app has the necessary permissions (settings > apps > Fitbit > permissions) and make sure bluetooth and location services (GPS) are on.
  • You can find additional suggestions here.

I have Samsung a8 my phone and charge 2 have worked fine till the last update why is my phone not on the list now?

Hi I'm having exactly the same problem and have repeatedly followed the steps detailed, but no success.

 

I have a Samung J6+ - this was synching properly and working fine. Then suddenly it stopped. I have tried many different approaches to resetting both my Charge 2 and the phone, eg deleting and reinstalling the app, resetting the Fitbit, etc.

 

I must stress again IT WAS WORKING, and then just stopped synching on 17 March.

The Fitbit still tracks info every day, but will not synch

I just went on fit but help and they said it defective and just out of warranty typical!

I have the S9 and it just stopped syncing yesterday afternoon.  I have tried all the fixes and nothing works

Looks like the same problem on a different model Samsung - to confirm you also have a HR2?

all the uploads, resets and blue tooth resets done...and seems allot of us have a problem with this suddenly this month. Nothing has changed for any of us. My phone hasnt changed and the only thing that seems to have changed is the syncing issues with fitbit. Everything is reset and reloaded and it still wont sync. Dont know what is going on with fit bit. Wondering if something happened this month. Mine has a stop date of May 22nd. Wondering if this is a typical glitch where things stop working to force new purchases..say it isnt so.

I should not have to restart mY phone every time to sync.  It always showed as connected but will not sync.  Just started with latest version on iOS.

Having the same issues with my son's charge 2. Seriously defective product and/or app. I've tried 2 phones, Samsung Galaxy S8 (mine) and Samsung Galaxy J2 Pro (my sons). 

It works for a while, sometimes days, sometimes a few weeks. It then randomly stops syncing on either phone.

 

Eventually after restarting the Fitbit, uninstalling and reinstalling the App, sometimes multiple times. Eventually it starts working again.

 

I only persist as my son saved and paid for it himself. Really wish he'd gone Garmin.

 

Fitbit Support - don't just post generic answers suggesting things the other person has already said they've done.
