Charge 3 Charging issue/Cable not working?

I've had my Charge 3 just over a week.  When I got it, it charged right up just fine.  Now the battery is about to die and it doesn't want to charge.  It seems like the cable isn't connecting or recognizing it. No notification of a charge comes on screen.  It doesn't vibrate when the clip connects.  I've quadrupled checked the alignment of the pins and it doesn't seem to be dirty.  I've also tried different ports on my computer, my boyfriend's computer,  and a pocket charger, but nothing.  I keep trying to restart it, but it seems like it it won't even restart unless its plugged into power, which I can't get it to do.  Any idea? Is it a dud?

Hi FitBit team, my wife has a Charge 3, purchased in December 2019 that wont charge.

 

We've tried cleaning the fitbit and charge cable, rebooting the fitbit, trying different charging ports/bricks. No luck.

 

Help?

Mine has done this since the start. Sometimes it works and some ttimes it doesnt. I bought a new cord and others have used my cord so i know its not the cord. If i play with it or walk away and try again i can get it to work, but that can take a long time.  I want to wear it and i do t always have time to play with it.  I have cleaned it and that doesnt help. So frustrating.

Hi

It was my Fitbit as the charger still worked on my husband's Fitbit. I
contacted https://contact.fitbit.com and they were amazing. Suggested a
couple of steps to follow, but in the end nothing worked so they replaced
it as my Fitbit was still under guarantee.

Oh dear - did you contact the Fitbit support team? It must be your charger
then. Mine charged fine on my old charger.

I seem to be having the same issues as everyone else.  My charge 3 was working perfectly.  It needed to be charged, I put it on the charger and nothing happened.  After a day or so, it totally died.  I have three different chargers, multiple charging blocks and USB ports that I've tried it on and nothing.

 

I've cleaned the sensors, did all the tricks I read about here and it's a brick.  Any ideas?

No charging response after trying different cubes. Not sure if it is still under warranty. Worked fine until today. Very disappointing so many others have same problem. Had a charge 2 before for two years and then wouldn’t hold a charge. Maybe time for an Apple Watch.

i am having the same problem! Fitbit even sent me another face piece....still wont charge! So annoying!

New device is working fine. Found directions to initially set up/start charging which worked well. Didn’t think it would charge when first tried.

I have had my sense for over a year and have gone through four charging cables. The issue is that there are 4 contacts on the charger - after 3 months of normal charging one of the contacts always seems to wear or break off.  You can feel it with your finger.  Only remedy is to purchase another cable.

I love the fitbit watch but have already spent over $100 in replacement cables. Seems like the charging cable is the weak link in the overall system.

If your Charge 3 is not charging as it should, test the solutions below:
The contacts on the tracker or charging cable are dirty.
If you haven't done so, try a different port.
The tracker isn't connected securely to the charging cable. 
When in doubt, it doesn't hurt to turn your tracker off and back on.
