Charge 3 Dim screen

No matter what setting or if you shade it, you can't see the display in the sun. Why is this and how do I fix it so it actually has visibility outside so I can utilize the functionality of this now expensive bracelet?!

Hello @Melyd. Welcome to the community forums.

I'm sorry for the experience and thank you for the detailed information and for the steps you've followed. Regarding your question, please make sure that your Charge 3 hasn't gone into sleep mode. When sleep mode is activated, the screen's brightness is set to dim.

For additional information and tips, I recommend visiting this thread

Hope this helps.

No, that is not on. It's the Fitbit itself.  Is it going bad? It's barely 2 years old.

That’s old in Fitbit years. I barely get a year out of mine. It’s like it know that is just past the one year warranty and then dies.

Yeah, my Charge 3 is also in that terminal about-to-flatline stage. The screen is dark, there are black lines in it, it's not readable in bright light, and it's barely a year old. I'm not sure if it's planned obsolescence or shoddy manufacturing, but there's a reason why Charge 3 has a reputation for this stuff.

I'd choose fitbit if it didn’t break so soon but there are many others trackers. Best one for everyone is different because all depends on your needs

@WilsonFitbit Oh thanks. I already bought one charge 3 for $130 but it broke after two years. I don't feel like buying it.
