So my screen has reached its last leg. Dimming started last year but has finally gotten to the point where it's 100% unreadable. I've done the plug in reset 100+ times in a row, swapping clock face screens, and it's not worked. Chat Support was not able to provide any additional help and just offered a discount.
While going down the YouTube rabbit hole, I came across a Charge 3 screen replacement video and will be ordering a replacement LCD screen and giving it a try.
Has anyone else tried this yet on here? any tips or tricks to keep in mind before prying the pebble open?

Hi @FufuHo, I have not heard of anyone doing this, as Fitbit doesn't sell replacement screens, nor do they recommend it.

@FufuHo I hope you are doing fine.
Sorry to hear about this. Support does follow the guidelines described in the warranty so if your device is outside the warranty period they won't be able to replace it. This is why they offer a discount to help customers in this situation. Still thank you for sharing your feedback.
It is not recommended you open your device as it wasn't been designed to be modified but we can't stop you. I do wish you luck with it.
@DramaQueenDiva thank you for your input here.
I'll be around.

Forcing consumers to buy the newest product which will fail in 1.5 years sounds like planned obsolescence with the multitude of rampant reports of screen failures. I have no appetite to continue my support of a company who doesn't stand behind their product.
As far as not opening my device, it's currently just a vibrating paperweight. It was paired and working with my phone still; however, I unpaired it in an attempt to troubleshoot. Now that the screen is unreadable, I can't see the pairing code when adding it back in the app. So again, in essence this is just a paperweight at this point and your recommendation not to open it really doesn't matter. It's either attempt to fix it myself or throw it away.

I saw your post, searched for an LCD replacement, and replaced the screen on my Charge 3. I bought 2 screens and am now going to replace my son’s Charge 3 screen. My screen is very bright. Thank you for your post, FufuHo!

I wasn’t worried about the warranty, because my Charge 3 was well past the warranty. I watched a few repair videos, but this was my favorite: https://youtu.be/qN8XGGpFGfo
