Has anyone had any issues with the charge 3 battery. My charge 3 is a week old and needed a charge Sunday night. I charged it over night and in the morning it was showing 100%, I wore it all day Monday however early hours of this morning (Tuesday) by watch was dead. I’ve had to hold the buttons for 8 seconds for it to come on however it ran out of battery? I synced my watch and phone before bed and there was over 80% battery. Has anyone’s else done this?

I have the same issue. My fitbit was on around 50% and then the screen was black. I hooked it to the laptop to try and get the smiley( also happening too often) and figured out it was actually dead, when it started charging..
I got no warning of a low battery or anything..
I had done 10k steps that day and lost everything, very frustrating 😞

I returned my first Charge 3 due to battery. My second Charge 3 has same issue. Sounds like Fitbit has a deficiency that needs to be worked out. Battery goes from 100% to dead within a day.

That is exactly what was happening with mine. I guess I will return it and not get another.

Dear Fitbit,
I’m on my 3rd Fitbit Charge 3 device trial after the first 2 devices were return to the shop because of battery drain issues. I was hoping that maybe the 3rd trial is a lucky one, but it looks like also the 3rd device has the same issue. All 3 devices were updated to the last firmware release, but nonetheless the battery drain issue was not solved with the firmware update.
As a customer I can only say that I am very dissapointed with your products and will probably not return.

I have exactly the same issue with my Fitbit Charge 3. I use to charge when taking my shower. Yesterday afternoon it was showing 96% of a battery charge. This morning it was dead. After putting it into the charging cradle I needed to restart it first (it did not want to wake up). After the restart it was showing 2% of a battery charge. During yesterday afternoon and this morning there was almost no physical activity on my side, no excessive notifications, i.e. nothing which could give a reason for the complete battery drain. Moreover, there came no notification on the low charge battery either. Only this morning, when charging started, I received a notification that my battery charge is low.
I am pretty much sure that it is an issue of a battery charge indicator, it is definitely not showing correct data. Therefore, one could think there still enough battery life in Charge 3, though there may be only few percent left in there.
Let´s hope that fixing this issue by Fitbit, as it concerns it brand new product, will not take that long as fixing other issues which often remain unfixed for more than half a year.

Yes, I had the same issue! I had my Charge 3 at 100% and the next day it was down to 50% and I didn't even workout. My Alta HR had a better battery life! I shouldn't have to charge it daily as it advertises battery life up to 7 days. I returned mine to Costco and bought another one to test if it's all the Charge 3 or if I got a defective one. Sure enough, I had a defective battery. My new one has now lasted 3 days and it's only down to 85%, including 2 heavy workouts.

I did the same thing! I returned the original Charge 3 and got a replacement and now it seems to be working more like I expected it to. I have worn it for 3 days and the battery is at 67%. I also didn’t change the watch face this time. Maybe the one I selected before drained the battery. Who knows! Anyway, I’m just happy to have it back!

I’m on my second Charge 3. So far, so good but it goes from working to dead pretty quick. I’ve started to keep a log on the battery life.

The last few comments about returning- getting another and it working better are far more encouraging since results have been better - so hoping when I try again I will also see that too - thanks!

I've had my Charge 3 for almost a year and have had great battery life. I usually top mine off every morning while showering and it has never really gone below 90%. Until yesterday . . .
I was on an elliptical and the screen went black. No response, but it did vibrate when I hit the button. I plugged it in and reset it with a paper clip and the screen came back, but now, it goes from 100% to 0% in about 10 minutes. I've reset it 2x and still no joy. Don't think I'll be able to get a replacement at this late date, but we'll see.
In the meantime, I'm going to go back to my Charge 2.

Thanks @laura_n It’s weird because I have the charge 3 since November and I never had this problem. It started last week. I’ll just wait it out then.
