Charge 3 blank display

It seems my Charge 3 broke down last evening after some 6 days of usage. At around 22:30, when I was reading in bed, it vibrated shortly as if there was a notification. The screen stayed black though; there is no display. From that moment on the Charge 3 has been unresponsive. Screen as well as button doesn't react to touch or presses any more. The heart rate sensor is emitting light constantly (green all the time, instead of slow flicker).

Connecting it to the charger doesn't change anything: no charge indication and symptoms stay the same. So no way to reboot either.

What to do next?

I'll contact my supplier in the evening, have a busy day at work today

HR sensor on all the time...HR sensor on all the time...button and screen don't react to touch or pressesbutton and screen don't react to touch or presses

Had same issues.
To connect to iPhone, try to switch off iPhone.
Found solution for black screen. In the moment gets black, put my arm/Fitbit under water and screen is working.
Anyway you should get new unit, as Fitbit knows about problems.

same issue, and all support has to say is restart or reboot, nothing more.

What about offering to take them down off shelves to be sold and fixing the issue vs selling them and giving worthless answers

Hi - I have the same problem - blank screen but getting haptic responses. It’s charging and syncing. Tried the 8 second & 15 second reboot, neither works - i’ve not seen a battery or smiley face. Tried changing clock face, also doesn’t work.

Had the same problem.  What worked for me was after numerous attempts to reset was to sync, keep hitting button till it didn't vibrate,  and then hold down for a long time.  Display magically reappeared.  No reboot was necessary.  Hopefully, this isn't a common occurance.

Same issue here, I was charging my fitbit 3, Suddenly the screen just went blank. Please help! I've tried the 'hold button for 8 seconds' fix. It does nothing. Green light on the back is dimly flashing.

On my phone, there is an icon in the top left corner of my fitbit screen. Touch the icon and your stuff will pop up. There is a watch synced to your phone, touch the Charge 3 watch and the watch infi pops up. Touch the clock face icon, then change to another face. When done, sync your phone to your watch, it should light up again, mine did...hope this helps you!

This has happened to mine too. I was in touch with Fitbit support in the last couple of days and my issues (not syncing, not recording accurate steps/sleep/exercise etc etc etc) were put down to the recent iOS upgrade on my phone and there was 'no timeframe for a fix'.  Interestingly, my phone wasn't syncing directly to my computer either (so perhaps nothing to do with iOS upgrade).  Today my screen turned black.  There's absolutely nothing there.  If I press the side button, all I get is constant vibration from the watch,  tried the 8 seconds/15 seconds restart - nothing. Tried changing the clock face via phone - phone can't find Charge 3! Tried changing via computer - nothing...... keeps telling me to have charge 3 near computer 😡.  This really is getting beyond a joke. Any further suggestions........ ANYONE????

You have to connect the Charge 3 to the charging wire when you do the 15 second reset, that’s the only way it works.

Did you connect the charging wire that is connected to a power source and hold down the reset until the charge 3 re-booted?  If you did all that and it didn't work then yours has some other problem.  Maybe a dead battery or so other problem.
