Charge 3 blank screen

I just had the Diamond showing on my Charge 3 screen. I followed the instructions here and restarted my device, but now the screen is blank. The button still responds as it vibrates when I press it, but the screen won't come on.

 

Occasionally it will show the smiley face for a bit when I try a long restart. My phone is also not seeing/syncing the Fitbit anymore so I cannot try changing the clock screen. This is the second Fitbit this has happened too and I am seriously unimpressed at the moment and I hope they have improved the manufacturing quality of the Charge 4. Any fix out there?
