I bought a charge 3 end of 2019. A few months later I had the same blank screen issue and Fitbit sent a replacement. Another few months later it stopped working again and once again they sent a replacement and now after another 4 months the 2. replacement stopped working as well. In other words, Fitbit never sent a functioning device and now, since more than 1 year passed I was told that the warranty expired. In other words bad devices were replaced with other bad devices as long as the warranty was still valid and now nothing. Never again a Fitbit device.

Very depressing and disappointing.I am also considering giving up the
battle, resigning to the fact that Fitbit does not care for its customers
once the warranty period is over.It boggles the mind to think they do not
have an after sales repair centre here in South Africa.

Thanks for your reply

I've tried restarting 4 times, changing the clock face in the app and I still have blank lines across my screen so I can't really see the time or any icons.

I purchased my Charge 3 in March 2019. What should I do?

I got my Fitbit Dec 2018. In Jan 2020 the screen malfunctioned but they gave me an extra month for the warranty and sent a replacement. A couple times this year the screen malfunctioned but I was able to get it working again by restarting it and/or changing the clock screen. This time, however, it doesn’t seem to be reviving 😞 Trying to leave it charging for a while and attempting again.

Hi Kris

I am really not the person to help My charge 3 was bought between 22 - 24
December 2018. It was a Christmas present frpm my daughter. It stopped
working 4 weeks ago.Fitbit were not able to assist me because the Charge 3
and all other Fitbit devices carry a 12 month warranty.I was so frustrated
by Fitbit necause I wanted to have the watch repaired at my expense but no
one at Fitbit could assist me.I have packed my Charge 3 away in its
box.Honestly, I might as well throw it in the bin.

I am sorry to be the bearer of bad tidings but your watch is out of
warranty.

Trying the Fitbit community did not help either.

My watch is 3 months older than yours.

If you have the patience, continue to direct your issue to the Fitbit
Community.Who knows, someone might have the same problem as you and could
help, but I cannot, as much as I would like to assist you.

Good luck

Just keep trying. Sometimes it comes back to life, but it might take a lot of restarts. At least that happens with me. It took me up to several times, patiently doing endless restarts and suddenly it worked again. But as suddenly as it came back it also goes blank again.  So it's an on-off all the time. What is the most disappointing thing, is that Fitbit clearly is aware of this problem, since that is something going on for quite some time and many people complain about the same issue, but, for some very odd reason, they just don't care and fix the problem.

We have been taken for a ride by Fitbit.

Hi,

my Fitbit is doing the same. I’ve tried to reset many times and even change the clock face but it’s still blank. Can you help?

Best Answer
I am really sorry to hear that Lauren.

Unfortunately my Fitbit has stopped working completely.

I have contacted Fitbit support who informed me they do not have a repair
centre and they cannot help me as my Charge 3 is out of warranty.

The shop where I purchased it cannot help either.

So I have packed it away and will never purchase a Fitbit again.

So sorry I cannot help you with this.

Regards

Just keep trying to reset. Sometimes it takes me days and then suddenly it
works again for some time until the screen goes blank again. Fitbit twice
replaced my Charge3 (with other defective devices) and now they told me
they won't resolve the issue because the warranty expired. I'm done with
Fitbit.

I've tried to reset more than 5 times now ... I hope there is a better solution out there.

Paid $150 on sale for the Charge 3 lasted 13 months and the band broke after 6 months and broke again at 13 months. I'm NOT PUTTING UP WITH IT ANYMORE! F this brand I never paid $150 for a watch that only lasted 13 months why would I do that for a tracker. Does anyone know a reliable replacement brand? I've had three Fitbits and I'm DONE!

Have you ever considered a no name brand for a fraction of the Fitbit.I
hear they all give you relevant fitness information. So even if they pack up
earlier you won't feel as aggrieved as you do now.

Exactly what I did.

Tried all of that- and have tried the various re-starts and changing clock faces- nothing. I>t's the 4th problem i've had in less than a year. Will try a different brand now as i have no confidence.
