How does one contact Fitbit people

Best Answer

Welcome to the Fitbit Community, @Rathass. I'm sorry to hear your Charge 3 screen is blank.

Please try restarting your tracker:

  1. Plug the charging cable into the USB port on your computer or any UL-certified USB wall charger.
  2. Clip the other end of the charging cable to the port on the back of the tracker. The pins on the charging cable must lock securely with the port.
  3. Make sure the button on your tracker is aligned with the button opening on the charging cable. You’ll know the connection is secure when the tracker vibrates and you see a battery icon on your tracker’s display.
  4. Press and hold the button to restart your tracker for 8 seconds. Release the button. When you see a smile icon and the tracker vibrates, the tracker restarted.

See you around.

I'm having the same problem. I can feel the vibration but see nothing on the screen. I have watched many videos for help, nothing I've seen has helped.

Is there a way to reset my charge 3 to factory settings?

Best Answer

Welcome to the Fitbit Community, @lc111. Thank you for letting us know that you can feel your tracker's vibration and that you watched many videos for help.

There's a way to factory reset your tracker but let's try a restart first, instructions are on my previous post.

Also, please try the long restart:

  1. Connect the device to the charging cable.
  2. While the device is plugged into the charging cable, press and hold the button down for 15 seconds.
  3. The device turns on and shows a battery icon. Two vibrations occur: first a short vibration, then a medium vibration.
  4. The device turns off.
  5. The device turns on and shows a progress bar and short vibrations occur. The progress bar completes. Note: A total of 7 short vibrations occur.
  6. Remove the device from the charging cable. The device shuts down.
  7. Important: Plug the device into the charging cable again.

Catch you later.

Thanks Andrea,

First the battery icon never shows on my fitbit screen, NOTHING ever shows on the screen.

Now I wonder if the brightness is set so low it just don't light up. If that is my problem what can I do to fix it?

Thanks.

Thanks for getting back to us and for your comments @lc111

Since nothing shows on your Charge 3 screen, you won't be able to check if the brightness is set to low.

Please try changing your tracker's clock face with the steps of: How do I change the clock face on my Fitbit device?

Let me know how it goes.

Best Answer

I changed my clock, still nothing on my screen.

It does seem to count steps and other data ok.

Thanks

  • All I get is a happy face. I tried deleting the device and reading. So far no luck. I may get a farming as this charge 3 drains the battery everyday, when I plug it in I get the happy face. Unhappy, Fitbit support no help.

I’ve had the same issue for months now. I followed all the steps and suggestions but it’s still blank. I have to look on my phone app to see everything.

Best Answer

I have tried the steps many times. I even dropped the device and cannot re add it. I ordered a new watch. This is too frustrating for a 2 year old fitbit

My Fitbit 3 screen started out very dim. After I followed instructions on here to fix it three separate times, it went totally black. I use my app to see everything. Now the sleep feature and heart rate monitor isn’t working correctly. It says I’m only sleeping around an hour at night but I sleep hard and rarely wake up. The heart rate monitor is giving readings like ive been running a marathon all night. I’ll wake up and my heart rate shows around 148. It will work correctly sporadically during the day. This is the 2nd Fitbit 3 I’ve had. The first one worked for almost three years. This one has only lasted a year. Is there a fix for all these sudden problems or do I need to just bury my Fitbit?

Same here, had to check my phone app.

I decided to unpair my fitbit and pair it again. The problem, when I paired the fitbit it shows a code (4 digit number) on the fitbit screen that you have to enter, since my screen is blank I can't see the code so now I'm unable to pair my fitbit.

I am using an old "Morefit" that I have had for years that still works.

This has been a VERY frustrating ordeal for an 86 year old who is not that tech savvy.

I don't understand why there is not a way to reset the fitbit to factory settings that would restore it like new.

Thanks for getting back to us and for letting me know what's happening with your Charge 3 @JD36

Please confirm that you have tried the long restart on your Charge 3 (instructions are on my post above).

Is your Sleep set as sensitive?  Please see our heart-rate tracking troubleshooting on: What factors can affect my heart-rate reading on my Fitbit device?

I understand how frustrating this could be and your feedback is appreciated @lc111.

Have a nice day.

Yes, I followed the instructions many different times. I have tried everything. If it’s on charger I either get smiley face or straight line, I dropped it and cannot reconnect after dozens of tries. It makes a pulsing sound. The charge 2 lasted five years and was still working when I bought the charge 3 which does work.
