I agree with everyone here that the bigger problem here is why fitbit keeps shipping faulty equipment. My first fitbit was a surge and was replaced twice in the two years I had it because the bands would come off.

This one is a charge 3 and I've had it for less than a month and just like everyone you start having these issues. If you can't make good products, just don't make them

The blank screen came back on after 3 hours out of the blue. The other issue I have with Charge 3 is that its soooo slow to sync with Android. I always have to hit sync 3 or 4 times to get sync to work and even then you have to wait for a while as it stays there spinning. I have given up on this sync now and try this only at night so by the morning it has previous days synced data. Its just over a month of use!

I have used fitbit products since 2015. This Charge 3 is so far the worst of it all. Previous Charge/Charge 2 had issues with bands coming off due to heat etc but never had a tech issue.

I think I am almost done with fitbit. There are now better products out there

I agree. I am very disappointed with the Charge 3. It's too fiddly to use...too difficult to close down an exercise and the heart rate monitor had me at over 180 on the treadmill which was a joke.

next time an iWatch for me.

Well it happened again. Blank Screen!! I was at the bank and tapped on my charge 3 to see the time...it was dead. Green light in back still blinking and App show half battery life left. This Charge 3 is a complete failure.

Tonight I revived this Charge 3 by putting it on the charger and pressing the left button for about 8 seconds and it came back on. Note: it was not a dead battery. There is something wrong with this Charge 3. Its the 2nd time its happened now. Bought it just over 2 months ago.

Thank you for the help.  My Charge 3 did the exact same thing.  It went blank. I just tried what you said about holding the button while it was charging, & it came on. I got one for Christmas, & had to return it. This is the 2nd one I've gotten in 2 months. It hasn't even been a month, & a blank screen. This is absolutely ridiculous!

Hi, this happened to me as well. I had to get it back to the shop I bought it and they sent it to authorized service. After one month service send back note that it is not possible to fix it and shop gave me money back.

Did you try putting it on the charger for awhile?

I had the same issue and rang the Fitbit helpline -they suggested the following which has worked:

Since the issue still persist, we recommend to perform the Long Restart.

Connect the device to the charging cable.
While the device is plugged into the charging cable, press and hold the button down for 15 seconds.
The device turns on and shows a battery icon. Two vibrations occur: first a short vibration, then a medium vibration.
The device turns off.
The device turns on and shows a progress bar and short vibrations occur. The progress bar completes. Note: A total of 7 short vibrations occur.
Remove the device from the charging cable. The device shuts down.
Important: Plug the device into the charging cable again.

I had the very same issue. Knew my fitbit was working and fully charged but no display. Tried holding button down, unit buzzed but no display. Went to my iPad, opened the Fitbit app, clicked on the icon upper right of screen which took me to account info. Selected the > to the right of "Charge 3" clicked on "Clock Faces" then "All Clocks" and changed from digital display to analog display, waited a few seconds until change was complete (you'll know) AND eureka! Display function was restored. I hope this works for others as well as it did for me!

I'm facing the same problem. Also, the Charge 3 doesn't sync and the green light blinks,  but the given solution didn't work for me! I have an android, Samsung S9+.

Hiya,
Same for me, however it does still sync, but still it is annoying as it is just over 6 month old as a Xmas presy 😬
I have an iPhone X

Did you charge it, & then wait til you believe it is fully charged. Then while on your charger, hold down the button on the left side for 7 seconds? I have an Samsung galaxy 7, & it has worked for me at least 2 times before. It takes me a lot longer to sync to my android, but eventually it does. I hope any of this is helpful to you.
